THE POLARIS POEM


of all the sleds
we see on the trail
there is only one
most likely to fail

it isnt the yammy
the cat or the doo
the name is polaris
and they dont have a clue

for years and years
their sleds didnt change
it got pretty sad
like the dog with the mange

the other three brands
are new and improved
polaris changed one thing
their graphics are moved

their motors are weak
their suspension a joke
by the end of the season
the owners are broke

the clutter with snow
with pieces and parts
the people who ride them
are mostly old farts

they clog up the trails
day after day
creeping and crawling
blocking our way

when will they get it ?
their sleds are out dated
the pro-x is a slug
and way over rated

for those who bought one
there is no need to panic
just open the phone book
and find a mechanic

when the snow comes
dont try to scare us
you dont have a chance
if you ride a polaris

lol yeah nice way to get a first post....thought this site was mostly about 4 wheelers and not sleds?????? "" oh well...dont know nothing about polaris's sleds but i know their ATV's are better than the Cats

bet ya'll didn't know the artic cat came from polaris. one of the original partners in polaris descided to brake off and start artic cat which about went bankrupt in 1980. i rode polaris sleds from 1985 to 2000, and raced them from 1996 to 2000 on the polaris factory racing team.. during that time i spent more time working on friends sleds then i ever did working on my polaris's.. so if you wanna call anything junk i'd say it would be the cat.

In the 2005 Cat DVD they trash talk about Polaris pretty bad, the ATP mostly. I just find it funny that Polaris doesn't have a Cat in any of there online comparison videos, I'm sure Polaris worries about Honda and Yamaha when it comes to sales, but the Cat...no. Polaris is over 3 times the size of Cat in terms of total sales(atvs, sleds, motorcycles, PG & A, and the Ranger) they sell almost 4 times as many quads, they are a bigger snowmoblie company two. Polaris maybe worried about some of the other company's in there market but AC is not one. Look Polaris, Honda, and Yamaha make up 75% of the ATV market, the other 5 OEM's have to break up that 25% left over. I think Polaris is like 22% Yamaha is 21% and Honda is like 28% or something close to that.

This is another one way off topic. This is an atv forum and not a snowmobile forum. Also having been a snowmobiler n the past I can say that I have pulled more arctic cats home and handed more arctic cats their ****s in races with a little Polaris 600. It is a prooven fact that Cat has yet to desing a snowmobile that will last a full weekend of riding. Cat is more into paying the big bucks for snowcross then targeting the true consumer. This is why they need to be torn down weekly and rebuilt.

Just to correct this quote a little bit. He did not break off from the partnership. He stole money from the original group and while they were away on business he sold some of the equipment from the shop and pocketed the money. HE was kicked out of the shop for good.

My fathers cabin is next door to the Johnsons which are the originators of Polaris.

This cabin is located at the Northwest angle on Lake of the Woods in northwestern Minn.
We know the true story but you can not get a cat fanatic to believe it.. Oh this story was also printed in one of the most popular snowmobile mags a few years ago.
