Status: offline 		It has come to our attention that many High Lifter Forum Members are, unknowingly, using the forum as a means to advertise for other websites and businesses that are in the ATV product retail business. High Lifter spends a considerable amount of money to provide this forum to it's members as a courtesy, a way for our customers to communicate with each other to share ideas, information, and riding techniques...and our way of saying "thanks" for being a loyal High Lifter customer.

However, recently, this issue has gotten out of hand and forced forum management to make a blanket statement concerning web-links. In an effort to not single out any one business, industry, or website, links to ATV RELATED RETAIL WEBSITES or websites that regularly sell ATV accessories, modifications, or other products will no longer be allowed to appear in any form on the High Lifter Forum in posts and/or signatures. Please refrain from including URLs in your posts or signatures to any website of this type. The High Lifter forum moderators will immediately delete URLs fitting these descriptions in the future.

The restrictions apply to ATV RELATED RETAIL WEBSITES or websites that regularly sell ATV accessories, modifications, or other products; photo hosts are not in that population. You may continue to post links to your images.

Status: offline 		what about a atv dealer, highlifter doesnt sell atvs. so if someone says they are giving away polaris' at the local polaris of chattanuga or whatever they cant say that because its atv related and nothing to do with highlifter. or what about if someone needs fmfs website to look st pipes i cant give them the link. highlifter doesnt sell fmf so they are **** out of luck huh

Go back and re-read the second paragraph.... It says clearly, ATV RELATED BUSINESS OR WEBSITES. Is there an ATV dealer out there that DOESNT sell accessories?

What you might want to do is contact HL to pay for a banner ad. I dont know if they would want to do that, but it is a viable option.

Na, I'm entitled to my opinion, whether or not anyone wants to hear it. I think HLs prices are too high. You can call that a complaint, but I call it a little suggestion from a person who has gave HL money for stuff before.

Think about it, if HL had some of the best prices out there, why would they have anything to worry about with other sites?

HL Is a great place to hang out at, and certainly not too much to ask of the people that go to THEIR site. I Understand exactly what HL wants, and wouldnt want someone to come to MY place of buisness, hang out all day, ask questions, get them answered, only to have someone come through my doors, ask for something, and have someone tell them, "Hey, go down the road to Joe Blow's place, you can save some money there, but come back over here when it dont work, or you cant figure it out and these fine people will help you out!" ""

Status: offline 		I perfectly understand what High Lifter is saying, why want someone else advertising on your site? If you think some other company is so good then why stay here and talk? High Lifter is the company that has let US talk to each other and ask questions and tell stories to each other. About the price reply...please, if you only realized how much money I saved this summer by buying products from High Lifter, I literally saved a couple hundred dollars by just joining the High Lifter Prostaff and getting that 10% off all my purchases, not only have I saved, I just ordered tires from High Lifter for a friend of mine, saved him about $20 by buying them from High Lifter using my Prostaff Membership. Even without the Prostaff Membership you can save by buying from High Lifter, they have some great prices and sure as crap make some GREAT products, we wouldn't have the ATV Industry we have today if High Lifter wasn't around. Thanks Highlifter

I worked at a gateway country store for awhile and nothing was more iritating than when someone said "Dell has you beat, im going to buy a Dell, they are giving a free cd burner upgrade. What are you going to give me for free." well, they would buy their dell and a couple months later you woiuld see them walking into my store with a dell under their arm asking if we can fix it under warranty. We regularly have an R&D list that is three pages long. You guys know better than ANYONE...we come out with new mods ALL THE TIME. Who's to say we're not working on a new product that would compete with what you're looking for and we don't want advertising for our competition on our OWN website. Ever try to walk into a McDonalds with a sign saying "Burger King is 2 buildings to the right! Let's go there together!!!" Probably wouldn't get you very far. Just use some common business sense and you'll understand.

The High Lifter forums are a great place for the ATV community to continue to grow. That's good for you and for us. Please don't blow this issue out of proportion and make a mountain out of a molehill. It's Business 101.

You have the choice in our system of business. They provide us with this forum and other great options. How many businesses provide a mud nats?

Highlifter does great things for our community, OUT OF POCKET!!!! I hope they make bank on their contributions, they are not sure that they will. But they give it too us anyway. Your opinions are your right. Not on a business' forum though. If you want to use this forum for your own purposes, you are entitled. You will have to follow their rules though. They give you this opportunity free of charge.

Why are the rules so hard to understand? Highlifter gives you much, but you want more? Make your own website and maintain it. You can complain but why complain about a forum that has given you so much information and is the prime leader for wheeling products. We gain from them, but companies that are not Highlifter should gain from their contributions? Poor business and ethical sense,at least in my simple mind.

Status: offline 		i dont see the problem, i understand the policy, if you want links to other products just go to another atv website or do a google search and find what your looking for. it cost about 100.00 a year to pay for a server to put up a website (small one) and about 300.00 a year to go larger, not sure of the overall pricing for a site with a lot of members like this one, but im sure its not very expensive.lol
