For 1997-2000 Non-HO 500 Sportsmans

Polaris front strut Bearings #3554509  $18 bucks a pop
replaced by:
John Deer JD8935 About $5.00 each

Polaris front wheel hillard hub bearings  #3554506 $18 each
replaced by:
John Deer JD8933 about $5.00

You can carry any style roller bearing found in 96-2004 Sportsman to John Deere dealership, and chances are they will have it, for about a quarter of Pure Polaris' prices.

From page 3 of this thread: Napa #338

Take the existing one with you to confirm, any parts store should be able to convert to their part number.

Thanks in advance?

If you can't find a specific number, take your old one to the parts store and find a "good" salesman and he can match it for you. That's how the ones listed were found to be a suitable replacement.

I just ordered a replacement fan from Universal Parts Inc. for my '02 Sportsman.  They listed #30101538 as a a replacement fan for OEM part #2410288 that is used on Sportmans Twin, Sportsman X2 Twin, and RZR.  I will let you know how it goes.  It was $100 plus shipping of $18.00.

Well tonight I decided to replace my pump. But before changing it I thought I would test it in a ice cream bucket 1/2 full of gas. What I found
was the factory clamps were leaking (BAD) so I changed the pump and replaced all of the hoses and clamps now the new pump sound alot different than the old one because the gas is going through the regulator blow off and not the lose hoses. I sure hope this fixes my problem of dieing on the trail

saturday I took the 700 out and she ran perfect 20 some miles and it got pretty warm my right leg was getting hot a couple of times. fixing that fuel line leak in the tank must of fixed my pump problem. I just thought I would share the information with guys.

I am calling all of you out. How many of you have actually used the parts you have listed on here???????

crashed13, I think I would remember if I used a replacement fuel pump and saved $400 on a repair!!!!! for all of you wondering what I am talking about, I pm'd him about the fuel pump he said works great on a 800 efi in the above quote, but a month later he can't remember if it worked or not???? come on guys either it did or not either way let us know.
Dabutcher, you have listed many parts on here, but when I asked how your fuel pump worked you stated in a PM that you have not actually used the part. If YOU have NOT successfully used a replacement part, then DON'T list it on here. this post was started to HELP people, not to make others think you know what you are talking about.

now does anyone know if the replacement fuel pumps previously listed in this post will work on a 2007 700 efi.

Call me out then, I have used most all the parts I have put in this thread. The ones I have not actually used I was confident about them or would not have posted it. I would in a second get that fuel pump listed if I needed one.

This thread, which I started under another name has saved mudders here a lot of money and most of all helped keep us in the game when OEM parts are not availaible.

Please don't come in here complainin when all "most" of use are trying to do is help.

all I am saying is don't list things if you don't know if they work or not. at least you DID respond to my post.
also, if someone is going to list a part on here list the bike it is going on. some of the posts list the part number only no bike.
dabutcher, I know you and the others are trying to help, where did you get the part number for the fuel pump and what year and model does that fuel pump fit?

thanks guys for the info. I am going to purchase one tomorrow.
I dont remember anyone mentioning oils in this post, but I use royal purple gear oil for the transmission. it is the same senthetic oil that you get at the popo shops. does anyone use other oil for the engine?
