so why cant we swich sides with the rear hubs? that would keep the calipers and the rear? that is what i am gonna try to do, might be a little more work but i think it will work out.

I would just like to know how a 3 inch lift can be more stable. I would love to have one but seems to me it would be more easy to roll it. Also anyone with the 3 inch lift having any problems  with cv joints or boots getting tore up?

why exactly did you have to take the brake lines loose?

because you have to be able to rotate the brake line and you have to put the banjo bolt thru the other side of the hole at the end of the brake line where it bolts to the caliper.

I suppose you could, but it would be more involved.

According to the HL instructions for their lift they advice to swap sides on the hubs, left to right, right to left.  I'm not sure why though.  Give it a try and let us know how it works.

well, I'm gonna either have to flip my hubs back to the stock position or try switching sides, because for some reason I can't bleed all the air out of my brakes with the calipers on the front of the rotor.  I even bought a brake bleeder kit and it made no difference.

Maybe that's why they swap sides.  I had a terrible time bleeding them and they never have felt as strong as original.

Silverdols----If you swap sides let me know how it works out.  I may swap mine also if the brakes bleed better.

could it be because the calipers are upside down?  can you bleed them right side up just sitting on the rotor and then mount them upside down?  Don't have a lot of experience with brakes, but it seems like it might work

I don't see any reason why it would work, but if it does I'll let you know.  It will be Monday or Tuesday before I can get it done though.  I need to buy a 32 mm socket.

Holy Cr@p Batman, the torque on the Rhino axle nut is 255 ft/lbs.

I'm gonna put mine back to stock.  This is gonna be much trouble and to expensive to do.  I would also have to buy a new torque wrench that reads over 255ft/lbs.

That shouldn't make any difference, but you gave me an idea.  I just swapped sides with the calipers.  They're still on the front of the rotors, but they're right side up now.  I can see no discernible differences between the calipers, so it should work.  This is much easier to do than swap the spindles.  I'll let ya'll know after I can get the brakes bled sometime this afternoon.

It's going much better.  I haven't bleed them half as much as I did the other way and already the pedal is better.  I'm gonna bleed them one, maybe two more times and I think it will be there.

All done.  Swapping sides with the calipers did the trick.  I've bled my brakes and I have a very good pedal.  I'm uploading some pics now for a comparison between no hub flip and hub flip.

Why did you change tire size?  It's kind of hard to tell with the different tires.  Did you take any measurements?

yeah flipping the calipers will make them alot easier to bleed. it is hard to get the air out when the bleeder is on bottom. i ran into this when i helped my buddy bleed the brakes on a buggy he built to pull behind a team of mules. he used a car rear axle and had to flip it upside down to get the clearance that he needed.

Starting to make sense why I had such a hard time bleeding mine.  I think I will take mine off and bleed them again and then put the calipers back on.  They never have felt as good as stock.  I always thought I still had a little air in there somewhere.

Swap sides with the calipers and then bleed them.  It should look ok with just the hubs flipped.  You may have to turn the shocks up in front.  No I didn't take any measurements.

I didn't take measurements, but it sits just as tall with smaller tires and the shocks turned down 2 notches.
