how come the 07-08 h1's dont have a rad. overflow tank like the 700(suzuki)??? i was thinking about putting one on my bike,,but wanted to see what everyone thought

Dont really need one with the Rad on the rack imop. shoot my quad has never got over 190* even in the middle of summer.
but if you want to put one on it for the just in case it should not be hard to do.

its good insurance...my 04 650 came stock with one also...

i know it will run much cooler on the rack ,,but i didnt want dirty water/mud getting sucked up the hose into the rad...i figured with the overflow tank that woulkd be impossible

bhmudder11 -> RE: radiator overflow tank (10/2/2008 4:10:58 PM)

so a overflow tank is just so nothing gets sucked up threw the radiator overflow hose?

http://www.highlifter.com/forum/got_the_lift_on/m_2947422/tm.htm he made a nice one for his. but you still have to have it vented to the outside some how. if it is sealed up it wont fill up or work if the rad over heats.
so then you have to run a snorkel tube off that bottom to a high point on the quad.

i just run a tube down near the bottom of the frame, if it ever overflows it goes on the ground. I am not worried about it.
