Do you know what the weight of a 27x12 Outlaw is compared to a 29.5x10???...becuase if the wieght is about the same or close I would go with the 29.5's[sm=1022.gif][sm=gun3.gif][sm=muahaha.gif]

Weight isn't the only thing to consider, the 29.5s will be harder to spin even if they aer the same weight. A freind of mine has a 08 BB400 and it will bog to a stop in thick mud with 26" Mudlites, but his is all stock, you may fare better then him but imo the 27s will prob work better.

I ride with a guy that has an 08 Big Bear 400 with just a tad bit of motor work and all the bolt-on mods....Running 29.5x12's on all four corners and they've never have stopped spinning[sm=gun3.gif][sm=grd.gif]

reduction and the 29.5s. imo your going to break more running the 27 wides on all fours than the 29.5 skinnys not to mention 12s up front are going to be a pain in the rear to turn...

if you made a gear reduction for the big bear it probably wouldnt move.. lol

they do make a gear reduction for tor the big bear.

08bbson -> RE: 27/12 laws or 29.5/10 on big bear 400 (10/2/2008 8:34:12 AM)

who makes the gear reduction kit and how much? do you have one how do you like it

P360onBugs -> RE: 27/12 laws or 29.5/10 on big bear 400 (10/2/2008 9:47:16 AM)

no i do not have one. turner cycle makes one.  they said for it to be viable you need to run at least 29.5s to get any speed. its that low.

bear09 -> RE: 27/12 laws or 29.5/10 on big bear 400 (10/2/2008 3:37:59 PM)

i run 28 9.5 laws on my bear an it spins them with no problem... i've never bogged it down in anything... i ran my buddies skinny 29.5's in his small pit an turned them almost as good as i turn the 28's... a big bear with a gear reduction could prolly turn 30's or maybe even 31's

mark_cotton -> RE: 27/12 laws or 29.5/10 on big bear 400 (10/2/2008 4:15:06 PM)

look at mi sig..ive had 27/12 outlaws on all 4 corners..pull like crazy in bottemless mud...it will truggle some in thick mud..put you a gear redcution in and turn any tire you want..[:D]
