warriorp -> tire recommendation? (10/1/2008 12:26:29 AM)

Alright, I am trying to decide on whose tires to buy. I have a 2001 450ES Foreman. My primary purpose for the tires is to be able to launch my duck boat on the red river. It is a wet, silty sand with the river flowing where I launch. Stock tires do not work. We have successfully pulled the boat out of the water with a Polaris 500 jacked up with vampires and a Kawasaki prairie 360 with dirt devils. I am leaning towards either MST or outlaws, but just want to know from the tire gurus what will work.

Its up to you the mst's will do the job but the laws will do it even better but i dont know if you want to ride around on the laws the whole .

laws will do it but you will sacrafice ride over the mst's...and the mst's are a great all around tire with good mudding capability's. I think if dirt devils are working a set of MST's would work great for you.

MST's for sure, good smooth ride and a great all around tire. outlaws will beat the heck outta you and there is no need for that if your just looking for a good tire that you can off-load your boat with.

I would go with MSTs.[;)]

Thanks for the replies. Launching the boat is easy - it is when you try to pull it back out where failure occurs. Stock tires spin and you sink. Sounds like the MST will work (they look similar to the dirtdevils). How rough is the ride on outlaws? Similar to vampires?

mst [;)]

MST's ride very smooth at any speed. Outlaws are more bumpy on hard surfaces under 8 mph.
