The New Durham Valley ATV Club will be holding their annual Cancer Ride for Childhood Cancer Lifeline in Concord, NH. This ride is memory of our good friend Marguerite (Catgirl) who passed away this year after a long battle with cancer. Marguerite was big supporter of this organization and the club has made it their final charity event in October each year.

The event is taking place the weekend of October 19, 2008 with camping permitted for the entire weekend at the club's "event area" off Hayes Road. We have secured a permit for those ATVs not registered in New Hampshire. Please note the permit is for Saturday and Sunday ONLY!!!!

We would like a big turnout for this worthwhile charity as it our last event for 2008. All funds raised will be donated to CCL in memory of Marguerite. The club is planning a special BBQ. You wont want to miss this one! As usual, the grub is FREE.

We know things are tough for a lot of folks this year with the cost of gasoline and the economy. All we ask is that you donate what ever you can!

Depot Honda has once again agreed to sponser the event and has provided some great raffle items again, just as they did for the recent Food Can Ride. We look forward to seeing everyone and their families on the weekend of the 19th.

Okay. Here's our preliminary menu for the event BBQ. (subject to modifications)

Marinated Gibbs on a stick (pork) It was going to be Godzilla on a stick but he won the battle with Larry. When Larry is realeased he'll fill you in. Pig 1, Larry 0. [image]http://www.atvalliance.com/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/image]

Marinated steak tips.

Ginger teriyaki, or roasted garlic chicken. (haven't decided)

And of course burgars and dogs.

Home made cheese cake and cookies.

The cooks have the right to refuse service to Maddog and Rancher 424 unless they are properly medicated.[;)]

Unfortunately I wont make it as Im in AL now.... Always been a great group of ppl. and a GREAT cause. NDV is one awesome club always doing charity work for those in need.  Is mud-pie making her jello?  Good luck on this yrs event, I hope you raise LOTS of cash for this great cause. Glad to see cat girls legacy carring on, It would make her very proud.  I bet Devils Den is looking good this time of year too. If youve never been to NDV to ride, you MUST make the trip for this event, beautiful views from the mountain tops. Again good luck!!!

Mudpie and family will be walking for Cat's pride in the Concord cancer walk along with JeepJeepgirl (Susie). The cancer walks are sponcered through many NH towns and cities and supports another great charity.
I hope many will make it. We plan to feed you well and we have some great raffle prizes.

Just a reminder that this event is this coming sunday. The more the merrier. I'll be the vertically challenged one manning one of the grills trying not to burn your lunch! [;)]

Thank's minitrk,
Due to the economy we know a lot of people that would normally go just can't swing it.
Most have to travel quit a distance to get to the trails. A lot of us spread ourselves a little thin this year with events and volunteering with the tornado clean up. We're kind of glad this is our last event of the year. Hopefully next year won't see the kind of storms we got this year. Kept a lot of people busy with trail clean up.

I can only imagine. I would def be there if not in AL. Been reading the UL daily, looks like you had quite a bout of storms this summer. especially at the riding area, glad none of you were seriously harmed by all the goings on. I havent been on the alliance (Im bad-honda there) in some time, Ill have to check in overthere sometime soon. Last time I was there ALOT had happend, havent been cuz there is not much info for us southerners there. Anyway I wish you and the club the best of luck this weekend. Hopefully with gas prices falling people will come.
