Finally got the video to work

CATVOS RZR 1 -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/14/2008 8:40:13 PM)

I THINK THE GUY ON THE CAN AM......EDITED!

Jonathan680 -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/14/2008 8:43:24 PM)

Nice!!!! Very Nice!!! Poor Can-Am R......

GWC -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/14/2008 8:49:36 PM)

LOL what the heck was wrong with the can am rider..? was that pit real lumpy on the bottom or somthing..?

BuLLg0d -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/14/2008 8:51:21 PM)

Looks to me like the guy on the can am smoked the popo off the line and hit a bad set of ruts. Thats just a real good example of a real uneven pit to be honest.

ostacruiser -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/14/2008 9:07:06 PM)

The pit was terribly uneven ( built that way) Rocky and clay with deep holes. Good or bad? I don't know. Tiring absufrickenlutly. There was almost no difference performance wise in brand or mods with that pit, There was a fair bit of luck involved. I just wanted to post the new 850 getting dirty. The king(Unlimited) class were the only ones that could walk their bikes down the middle of this beast of a pit without to much struggle 6" lifts or better and 31 outlaws or 32 $ilverbacks and engine work. I'll post a vid but it's kinda dark this event went well into the night.....lol

MN TCAT -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/14/2008 9:49:27 PM)

Looks like he forgot to lock his front end in.[:D]

Roofer750 -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/14/2008 10:14:33 PM)

They were dead even and the 850 looked like it lost traction. I'm sure with a real race, we will see which is faster. This is the first vid I have seen, thanks to ostacruiser. Too bad the pit ruined it. I doubt the CanAm was stock, but it also has bigger tires, right? What was on the Popo?

ostacruiser -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/14/2008 10:21:40 PM)

800R - 29.5 Outlaw's, snorkeled, piped and clutched
850xp - Stock.....28" Zilla's The biggest tire they had on hand in a 14" rim.....

Jonathan680 -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/14/2008 10:21:55 PM)

Roofer750:

Looked like the 850 XP has 27 0r 28 inch Zilla's

GeorgiaGrizz05 -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/14/2008 11:16:05 PM)

Rafy0202 -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/14/2008 11:54:33 PM)

They are Zilla's not mudzillas! There is a difference.

POPO800EFI -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 12:11:04 AM)

Would of went with some better tires on the POPO

dgraham225 -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 12:18:52 AM)

yea, looks like that can am caught one **** of a rut, he was fighting that till the end!!  that 850xp looks awesome though, i think that will be my next bike!  the EPS versions are gonna be out around dec-jan right?  i may wait on it, i just hope that power steering can take the big tire and mud abuse!!

POPO800EFI -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 12:20:14 AM)

I am still just going to stick with my 800 only has 60 miles and 7 hours on it

X800R -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 12:25:55 AM)

Nice! I have been waiting for POPO to come out with a contender in the big bore wars. I have a sage green 850 eps on order. I was going to get the stealth black but I realy like the sage green.

POPO800EFI -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 12:27:21 AM)

the black looks real good I just wonder how much it shows the trail scratches when clean

Polaris700 -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 6:45:40 AM)

Actually they look like 26" Zillas...

The 28's look much much bigger than those.

Do they make a 26 inch zilla in a 14 inch wheel???? The 850 XP has to run 14's to clear the breaks. You might want to look into that. I am pretty sure they are 28's.

SouthBossierGrizz -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 8:40:21 AM)

Looks like the guy on the Can Am doesn't know how to ride in a mud bog.  The Polaris was impressive, but should have been much closer than that.

Jonathan680 -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 9:24:36 AM)

Polaris700:

Thanks for the research. Those tires do look a bit small. I can not beleave they took a brand new, not snorkeled, only running 26's, into a mud bog pit haha. They sure do have some serious faith in the new XP.

If it wasn't for that wall, he would have lost for sure.

GunRunner -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 9:56:19 AM)

Thats racin for ya, the fastest dont always win, but to me it looked like the 850 came off the line as good or better than the 800.

Poolaris800 -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 10:33:09 AM)

That is very impressive to see that heavy ace bike with that small of tires get out there and tear it up like that, Could you imagin if he would have had a lift and 29.5s...

bender -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 11:12:45 AM)

first time i,ve seen one of these new machines ,thinkin seriously abou tradin my 07 800 now .

.....along with clutching, exhaust, programmer, etc. I think we are looking at one sick bike combining outty comfort and handling with TCat power and adding EPS on top. Man, I see the potential in this thing already....[8|] This bike could be #1 for best all around package and it's gonna beat both bikes in price as well. Go Polaris. My hat is tilted off to ya.

NBM -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 5:59:37 PM)

A fact about this race LOL. The guy riding the Can-Am just bought his machine the night before the race and had never even driven an atv before. And the pit was evil LOL. It didn't matter how much money U had into yer machine, if U couldn't ride or picked a bad line, U were done. Also our first event here. We will do a two day event next year, run lights to go all night and better set-up the pit. Ostacruiser, where's the vid of the 850 racing the stock Can-Am 800 with stock tires???? Poor old 850 got whooped on in that race bad. Just goes to prove that it worked how I wanted it to, it was a drivers race.

minesbigger -> RE: 2009 Polaris 850xp vs. 2009 Outlander 800R (9/15/2008 6:23:19 PM)

BOTH BIKES ARE IMPRESSIVE. for me seeing is beleiving ,so when i see em go head to head in person then we'll see how it goes.
