"LOOK AT THE VIDEO CLOSER!

That is the old body style Polaris that won that race. Not an 850XP. Look at where the winch is located when he goes by. The rad is also low like in the old style machines.

The first video is a legit 850XP though. "

You are right, I got mixed up cause it is the same rider "Mike" he entered the 500 class with a '08 500 with some 26" Outlaws and won the class I beleive. Sry like I said it was from another poster.

And "your welcome" to all who posted thanks I appreciate it ( it takes a little pissin' around to get these video's up) but it's worth it. That is why I posted the video's they are a brand new machine and they have alot of people's interest, and there wasn't alot of real world video of them yet. I'll check I might have one more..

"That's because it only won twice and then was out LOL. I thought it did real well, too well. Where's the 1 thou when U need it LOL. "

NBM.....I have some deadly CanAm videos to post also why do you have to bad mouth these vids and the 850? I'm pretty sure I have 1 more video of him winning, that's a total of three wins out of a completely stock machine except the trail tires he had. I'd say that's fantastic especially for this PIT OF DEALTH.....lol. CanAm's definateley did good (some of them) but they were about 4 to 1 to every other manufaturer.

Ostacruiser, thanks for posting all the vids.  I thought they were pretty cool.  Someone from the atv connection forum said that their dealer had 4 850's and 4 550's
I wish my dealer had one stealth black 850!!

I can't wait to get my hands on one and see what can be done!  Hopefully, only a couple more weeks and we'll have them.

Them popos are gonna give the can am a run for their money in the drags(atleast in stock form) but i still dont think they can beat them in bogs...or it will take alot of mods to do it anyway.

I used to run competitions like that.  I always watched first to learn the best route to take.  I would have went straight for that right side.

They would disqualify you if you were trying to ride the wall too much.....

Not riding the wall.  Taking the same path for the first part as the polaris.  From the looks of that pit the person on the left side was at a great dissadvantage to begin with.  All you could really do is follow that path until you got to a point where you may be able to pass him.

The right lane is what he is trying to say.

From what I have gathered though is that the guy (Mike) is also a much better rider than most. It takes more than just a bad machine to make a good run. I'm sure any of the racers here could tell you that.

I found it impressive though what the 850 could do with a good rider. Like already stated, this is the first non-commercialized video we have seen of the 850.

Here is a new Vid of an 850 not in the mud. It does seem to sound a lot like a V-twin now. Not a Outy comparioson vid or anything just a new 850 Vid I ran accross today.

Wow, thats some nice power. Any idea if he was in low range or not during that video? If thats just high range then that machine is going to be pretty fun!

The engine sounds real good, but it looks like a bit of low end lag when he hits the throttle. Must be that "manageable power" everyone is talking about.

On the other hand, these bigger engines do need time to warm up and also some miles to break in good to get the maximum HP out of them. Also, it may be good for drags and mud racing, being it will keep the front end down more.

if the zillas in the vid arent 26inch polaris did some false ground clearance advertising/ they cant be 28s if that atv has 12'' gc stock , I think it looks better than the other popos

just saying IN the first vid I think that the popo was running 26in zillas
