ive never had any luck with warn winches until i started taking them apart before they were ever installed and siliconed all the areas where water and dirt can enter. my 08 brute force came with a warn 2.5 rt that advertises as being fully sealed it wasnt it quit about 3 weeks ago. i took it apart and there was dirt and crap all in it. i cleaned it up changed the gaskets and added silicone to it and dielectric greased where the studs screw into the housing it has been working fine since. its just alot noisier than before. i think on my new can am i am going to buy a venom or viper and just tear it apart and re seal it completely and try and use a warn solenoid and handle bar switch. i like the way they look and seem to be better quality than the others. anyone know if the warn solenoids and switches will work on a viper or venom. i say if its gonna break anyway i might as well save some money and try to make a cheap one better than make an expensive one better. either way its probably still gonna break or get water in it.
