So far thats been the number 1 issue on reliablity.. Like I said earlier, a few passes in a pit and the dang bike aint got a dry spot on it.. BUT, there will come a time when its figured out. Thats why I think that on a RUV, you have a few places to aid in splash protection while keeping the air flow at an optimum amount

I see what you are saying but I think water mixed with that turbo is going to be a hard thing for reliability

As for the heat the turbo produces mixed with the cold water, that is not a problem at all, just a little steam. I will admit that it does take some creative snorkeling on the ATVs to keep the intake clean since the air filter has to be on the end of the snorkel pipe, but the power is great. I do believe a certain ex-ape company employee was doing quite well in the Open class with a turbo Outlander. They just need a little tweaking with the clutches and intakes and they will be the force to be reckoned with. Hopefully next year I'll have a little more time to put into my race bike and the races.

The turbo won't produce any more heat than the engine does under any given load condition. The rate at which it dissipates that heat, however, will.

IT DOES THROW QUITE A ROOST IN DA MUD! I HAVE RECENTLY ADDED THE HIGHLIFTER ROOF, AND ILL BE RUNNING THE INTAKE RIGHT UNDER IT IF I NEED TO ....NO PROBLEMS YET THOUGH

WELL I WENT TEST THE NEW MODS TODAY. EVERYTHING IS COMING ALONG REAL GOOD. RODE IT HARD TODAY IN THE RAIN. WE RODE AND RACED IN A WATERSOAKED FIELD, AND A PIT BOUT 1-2 FOOT DEEP. THE NEW CLUTCHING IS STARTING TO UNLEASH THE BEAST!
