I am not.  The airbox is staying off of it. The PVC is a direct fit to it. What you see is how it is going to stay.  All the stock snorkels that were on the atv, can be put back on at anytime I choose too.  That is the great thing about how it went.  We custom made that piece on the airbox which is not to hard to do.  Have any questions feel free to pm BIGBLACKYUKON AKA (ROY)

Cool, I will have to look at mine a little closer to see what you did. One more, what size is the black reducer that connects the snorkel to the CVT in the front?

Bottom line. They work.  I will get some pictures up.  It got hairy in the creek  I hate snakes, and there was one stopping me from going.  Got caught on the steep bank trying to dodge it, and then the creek bank wouldn't let me off of it.  Finally got it off with out flipping it and got out of there!!!

Carb.  Yeah he helped me out with the pictures. We used his pictures for reference.  Didn't want to use spa hose and have that big bend in it like he has, so we chose to do everything with pvc.  Could be tuned some, but runs very good how it is.  I will get some pictures for you.

did you do anything to protect the exhaust from melting the pvc for the cvt outlet?...also since I plan on doing this to my dads 400 max, is there anyway the snorks could come up close to the handle bars? he wants to run his front cargo box, so rack space is needed.  did you re-jet? or are you running a reducer for the intake?

sorry for the many questions, just looking out for the ol man...he doesnt ride deep, but when he does see water/ or mud, he likes to fly through, so Im just trying to protect his machine from him...lol

  • First off no I did not wrap anything around the PVC by the exhaust.  It will be fine.
  • You are talking about major thinking and remounting to get the snorkels any closer.  The way the frame is also I would think you would have to cut it.  Basically what I am saying it is impossible to run the snorkels the way we did and get them any closer.
  • Rejetting is not always needed, but mine is running rich.  So I will be ordering a jet kit.

Any more questions let me know.
Thanks
Kyle

i will prolly have order a dial-a-jet if he does snorkel it....i have seen the bigger outlanders have a snorkel really close to the handlebars though? just cant remember where. i will also have to lift it for him, and do the frame mod.

There is no lift out there for them also just to let you know.  You can have a custom one made by Catvos for a small price of $3500.
