THINKING ABOUT ORDERING SOME 27'' SILVERBACKS FOR MY BEAR. JUST WONDERING HOW WELL IT WILL HANDLE THEM??

Muddin_dude05 -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 6:15:20 PM)

You could probably handle them just fine, if you wanted to save a buck or two get some 26" or 27" SuperGrip Mud "Dogs" they measure 1" oversize so keep that in mind. I had them and loved 'em

POPO800EFI -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 7:36:46 PM)

from experience if you ride a passenger do not go over 26's 9 wide in front and 12 in rear

CWBell -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 7:42:28 PM)

My buddy has 27"x12"s on all 4s and it does just fine

C1iffBurton -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 7:44:30 PM)

if u go 12s up front ull be either bending a tie rod on ur first ride or breaking an end on a tie rod and youll be going aftermarket after ur first ride with 12s up front, and even with 10s up front ull only get a few rides out of the tie rods before one of em bend

they are just weak and need to go aftermarket no matter what tire

POPO800EFI -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 7:51:25 PM)

I had no problems with 9 wide in front on my BB bending tie rods but I can tell you from experience the BB with all the mods I have listed below and riding a passenger WILLL bog down even in 1st with 26's......I just got tired of not having the power there so I sold mine.....Great entry level quad but once you wanna go with huge tires a cooler on the back and ride a passenger it lacks severely

oilfieldtrash -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:22:26 PM)

what ever put some 29.5s...lol

POPO800EFI -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:25:23 PM)

I would never go that big on such a small wheeler.....especially since I ride a passenger and have a 40lb cooler on the back

1meanforeman450 -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:31:59 PM)

oilfieldtrash isnt a small man... his bike turns them 29.5's real good. real impressive bike...

POPO800EFI -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:35:27 PM)

well I am not a small guy either.....lets figure it up I weight 200 the ole lady is about 150 the cooler is about 40 at least with beer and ice then the wheeler itself is 560 that is almost 1,000 pounds on a motor that only puts out 22hp and with my mods maybe 25hp......it just aint happening

oilfieldtrash -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:47:18 PM)

hes very persistent on telling ppl what can and can not be done see i was just kidding with the guy but you get so worked up on this subject it makes me laugh ok ill be serious DONT GO ANY BIGGER THAN 27 ON A BB IT WONT TURN THE EFFECTIVLY is that better for you [;)]

POPO800EFI -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:48:47 PM)

thank you for finally admitting it!!! Much love to my oil field trash brotha from anotha motha

07bigbear -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:50:24 PM)

RIGHT NOW IT HAS 26" SWAMP LITE 10 IN FRONT AND 12 IN THE REAR AND IT DOES FAIRLY WELL JUST LOOKING FOR THE BEST OPTIONS. DON'T WANT TO HAVE A BIKE THAT JUST LOOKS GOOD I WANNA BE ABLE TO PERFORM.

mark_cotton -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:50:53 PM)

haha..lol..im getting 28 inch zillas..i got these bcuz they are so light..how well do you think ill be able to turn them with the mods in my sig?

POPO800EFI -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:52:23 PM)

here lets sum it up then for ya 26's max if you ride a passenger and a cooler on back like I do.....27's if you ride alone

oilfieldtrash -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:53:04 PM)

ok seriously...i dont think you will have a problem but if you plan on a lift plan on axles too it is IRS right it puts the axles in a bad bind JMO

mark_cotton -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:56:46 PM)

oildfishtrash, you talkin to me or the other guy?..how well do you think i can turn the 28 inch zillas with mods in my sig..i heard they were really light..

POPO800EFI -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:57:39 PM)

instead of thinking they are light go look......type in atv tire weight on google there are a few on there

grizz450 -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 8:58:46 PM)

mark you can do it
dont forget
ur riding a yamaha it will pull them

mark_cotton -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 9:00:46 PM)

i thought so grizz450..lol..im also talking about zillas. not "mudzillas"

kidsoncoffee -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 9:04:58 PM)

You should turn those tires just fine.  They are LIGHT.  If I can turn these 27 mudzillas with no problems, then you'll be good to go.  I'm thinking about the 28 zillas myself.  If they get me stuck, I can just pick the bike up out of the hole.  Can you pick up your 800 popo?  HeH  Didn't think so.

mark_cotton -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 9:07:42 PM)

great!..im just sick of breakin cv's with such aggressive tires..when i get the 28 zillas on 14 ss112's or ss212's? wait wich one?

kidsoncoffee -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 9:09:41 PM)

I'd get the chrome 212s.  Them are purdy.

POPO800EFI -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 9:10:51 PM)

purdy lol

mark_cotton -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 9:16:24 PM)

ha..yeah..i wont have no butt to ride on after the cash runs from my back pocket!

POPO800EFI -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 9:16:53 PM)

yea

oilfieldtrash -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 9:20:22 PM)

the big problem is the 2" lift put the rear axles in a bad bind i think the zillas are light enough you wont have a prob spinning them it might be a good investment to get a clutch kit that will help in the thick stuff

POPO800EFI -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 9:22:09 PM)

or just do the lift and stick back money so when you do break an axle lol

mark_cotton -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 9:22:50 PM)

but they are purdy though..for another 150 i can get chrome.. minus well..i think the ss212's look mean..i like both the ss112's and ss212's

POPO800EFI -> RE: BB QUESION (9/4/2008 9:23:46 PM)

wish in one hand and ______ in the other see which one fills up faster hahah
