Our local wal-mart is already out of water, and pretty sure the ones in baton rouge are already running low if not out as well.

I just got in from getting gas.I had to go to five diff stations to find it.One ran out when I was pumping and had to go to the next one.Got 55 gallons worth in a barrell and 5 gas cans. The kicker is that it was 3.25 monday,I paid 358 tonight and they were changing the price when I was leaving to 3.78.

How can it not be price gouging?

i waited in line for 20 mins or so to get gas in my truck so i could get home. there was a lady who was there before i got there and still there when i left. she had at least 7 5 gallon gas tanks to fill up. then i saw a fella with one of those big barrells in the back of his truck filling it up.

i just really hope this thing will just go away. our engagment pix (and my formal bridal pix) are monday. looks like we may not get them taken.

i REALLY hate storms. i get scared when we have little rain shower.

I have spent so far $326 in gas and diesel today. I am predicting a huge jump in fuel prices.

just went to wally world and spent right at 300 bucks on food, water, etc, as far as fuel goes as long as i have food i don't need to go anywhere,  we have a well so we will have water regardless and a cold shower lol,  i don't understand why everyone has to go, go, go during a storm,or after for that matter. IMO just get what you need and sit it out, your job and bills will still be there after its all over.  either way i pray it misses us

Oh and i seen the funniest thing ever in there today,  a 400+ black lady was in there with five kids and all she had was a buggy slam full of honey buns, after i ask her if she was ready for the storm she said no,  that fema will provide everything but the sweats.  lol i threw up a little.

yeah thats the bad thing about these storms is that people depend to much on hand outs. they need to fend for themselves and not depend on uncle sam so much

i watched the local news at 6:00. weather man said there is a good chance it could make land fall at the southern most point of Louisiana, which is Pilot town. he also said it could stall out in the gulf  just off the coast and build up before making landfall.but it is still too early to really predict where its gonna go.

i remember eating MRE's after Ivan came through our area a few years ago.  and we ate on those things for a few months afterwards too.  they brought sooo much to our area, but i know of some people that lived back in the Styx that didnt have power for Months!

Has it occured to anyone here that every 3 hours there is a completely different track, wind speed, and intensity category predicted at landfall... monday it was predicted to hit somewhere in texas, yesterday the track was further east towards alabama and mississippi, early this morning the track was into louisiana, and now its back torwards texas...i dont think im gonna waste anymore time watching the weather until sunday afternoon...maybe by then the forecast will be a little more accurate without all these stabs in the dark the forecasters are making at this point....

here is the 5:00AM Thursday track predictions...lol these will change by lunch time today

Owning a gas station is all about future prices. I by no means enjoy high gas prices, but they have to raise the prices of the gas they have in the tanks because they have to predict what their next purchas of gas is going to cost them.

i think they needa drop a mini nuke inside of a hurricane and blow it apart or shot a missle and blow it up right infront of it pushing it back or something

has anyone ever tried something like this, the guys around the office happen to think blowing a mini nuke or giant bomb up inside of it would either blow it apart to where it couldnt form again or it would piss the hurricane off and make it stronger

its worth a shot though i would think although the radiation would still be present
