EXHAUST SNORKELS IN MY OPINION ARE ONLY GOOD IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE RIDING ON THE BOTTOM OF WHATEVER BODY OF WATER YOU ARE CROSSING AND NOT DOING ANY WATER WHEELIES.  WATER WHEELIES ALLOW YOUR BIKE TO GO DEEPER THAN RIDING ON THE BOTTOM.  sO IF YOU HAVE YOUR EXHAUST SNORKELED AND YOU GET INTO A SITUATION WHERE YOU HAVE TO POP IT UP YOUR EXHAUST IS GOING TO GO UNDER THE WATER SNORKELED OR NOT.  WITH THE EXHAUST SNORKEL THERE IS THAT MUCH MORE PIPE THERE TO FILL UP WITH WATER.......HENCE IT WILL TAKE MORE COMPRESSION TO PUSH THE WATER OUT.  THIS IS A PROBLEM WHEN YOU GET IN REALLY DEEP WATER AND COULD CAUSE YOUR BIKE TO DIE......NOT A GOOD SITUATION.  I RIDE MY POPO UP TO THE POD AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT DYING, AND I HAVE NO EXHAUST SNORKEL.....I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND!!!!!!!!!!!

agreed if you do snorkle the exhaust when doing a water wheelie it will still go under a waste of time my opion

not a waste of time at all if your bike dies in the water and you hit the starter. thats all she wrote . i wouldnet dream of not having one saved my quad several times

WITH THE EXHAUST SNORKEL THERE IS THAT MUCH MORE PIPE THERE TO FILL UP WITH WATER.......HENCE IT WILL TAKE MORE COMPRESSION TO PUSH THE WATER OUT.

Keep the engine running, keep the water out of the snorkel.

You only run into problems when the engine dies while the snorkel is under the water.

EXACTLY IF YOU KEEP THE ENGINE RUNNING WHY YOU NEED THE EXHAUST SNORKEL ANYWAY????  THE COMPRESSION ISSUE COULD BE A PROBLEM IF YOU GET IN A POSITION DEEP ENOUGH THAT EVERYTIME YOU TOUCH THE GAS YOU ALMOST ROLLOVER  (YOUR **** END IS DOWN AND YOUR FRONT TIRES FLOATING).....YOU HAVE TO HAVE LOW THROTTLE IN THIS SITUATION.

I AM EMPHASIZING WATER WHEELIES BECAUSE THIS IS WHEN YOUR EXHAUST IS AT ITS DEEPEST.

Exactly!  If it stalls (for whatever reason) when you are doing a water wheelie and you let the front end come down, the exhaust is still under the water without a snorkel.  During that time water is filling your exhaust on it's way to your motor.

That doesn't happen if you are using an exhaust snorkel.

its not any diff than an air box snorkel just trying to keep water out of the motor just on the exz end not the int end pretty simple

YEP, NO EXHAUST SNORKEL NEEDED IN MOST CASES.  I GUESS IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH WATER IN YOUR TIRES TO KEEP YOU FROM FLOATING, YOUR INTAKE SNORKEL IS HIGH ENOUGH AND YOUR EXHAUST SNORKEL IS HIGH ENOUGH, YOU COULD GO IN SOME REALLY DEEP STUFF........WOULD NOT BE FEASIBLE FOR TRAIL RIDING THOUGH!!!!!!!
