$100 belt vs. transmission? I'm still waiting to see proof of a failed Rincon transmission, I've heard it 1000 times over, the transmissions are junk, they break easy, they are replacing them left and right, etc

got a guy i used to ride with that has one and its been down for 2 years now(he dont have the money to rebuild it cost to much) because of the tranny, also his would bog down with 27 589s with a HMF and dyno jet kit. now it is a 650 not a 680efi.

GWC I'm not calling BS on you.....well, maybe I am a little, but like I said, unless you show me pictures of shattered Rincon transmission parts, it never happened.

660's are no match for a modded Rinny, mine was pretty even with a 700 last time I raced one, bet me by a few length. I have the tire disadvange though, and I've done more mods since then. Stock for stock, Grizz 660 and the Rincon 650/680 are pretty even, 660 will edge it out on the top end. Grizzly 700 is quite a bit faster, stock Rinny is no match.

i love old foreman, and have always been a honda guy, but i will say my next machine will most likely be the 700 grizz! a freind of mine bought one back about march-april, and im impressed by the power it has. the stock engine doesnt even know its turnin 27x12 witches! not to mention its already got about 2300 miles without the first probelm yet  As for the rincon, its the only thing i have hooked my winch to, with the exeption of pullin myself out. 3 of em all got stuck in the same place one night, and the foremans, grizz's and rhinos just walked rite through. just like everybody else is sayin, the absence of a low range just kills the rincon.

A funny fact . there are a few machines in the 500 class that will have more power than a rincon .  outlander 500 /rene 500 and the polaris 500 each will outrun and out mud a rincon. with that remark the rincon is not competitive at any thing other than a laid back ride in the woods . it is 150 ccs bigger than each of theese machines and is not competitive at all with them in the mud or racing / hardly with any of the big bores. with that said they are pricey and way under powerd . I would buy any thing but a rincon for mud or showing off . Like burning out in a geo metro it Just dosn't make sence..

Its not "broke up" its "burnt up" or thats how he called it, but either way the dealer said it would need to be overhauled or replaced. well thats what he told me.

I think your friend is the one who's "burnt up" if he bought that line.

You can't "replace" the transmission on a Rincon, the engine and transmission are integral.  That means they are built as a single unit.  This isn't a 1979 Ford F150 where you can simply unbolt the transmission from the engine and replace it with another one.  If a Rincon transmission is faulty, just replace the failed part(s) and go riding.

Fried shift clutch?  Just replace the plates.  Failed torque converter? (very rare)  Just pop the front cover and put a new one in.  Main valve body contaminated?  Just clean it out.

The Rincon transmission is virtually bulletproof, but in the unlikely event that it should fail, it is incredibly easy to work on and usually not that expensive to repair.  Those are the facts, brought to you by ATVtech.

but anyway no matter this is just what i was told. must need overhauled cleaned out or whatever then.
Facts are its still setting in the garage because its broke/wont move.

I think this is uncalled for as well no reason to make a comment like this, just because it is easy for you to overhaul/fix a Rincon tranny does not mean everyone is able to do so or even fully understand how they work and trust the dealer to do it.

Well, I know you exist because your here on this forum communicating. If the Rincon could come here and communicate its transmission problems we'd be all set wouldn't we?

Good choice. I own a Rincon but I'd never recomend it for the mud. But it is by far the best trail bike.
