Don't know about the status of it yet...

Just went and dropped it off at the body shop and picked up a rental car.  They said it won't be till Wednesday till they can get and adjuster out there, but the lady there thinks she can get them out sooner.

As far as the frame being bent, I think there very well may be frame damage....  The only damage on the cab was in the back driverside corner..... other than that nothing hit.  But somehow the front passenger door is now rubbing the fender , which was not like that to begin with.

We have been getting a massive amount of rain in Beaumont...Did lightining get it? I see your from Beaumont...My shop is on MLK and 69 by Lamar.

Rdnek, that sucks.  There is a guy a work with who had the same thing happen to him.  When it fell he fell sideways in the seat.  Everyone who came up afterwards thought he was dead because it flattened the roof.

The truck is a v6 sr5, pretty much a base model with power windows. (I never have been fond of pretty wheels)

I got word back from someone at the insurance agency.  He said he thought it was repairable, however considering the only impact the cab saw was in the driverside corner and my passenger side door is up against the fender, (nothing came remotely close to hitting this portion of the truck) he was going to have them take off the bed and put it on a frame machine and check over the frame real good before proceeding with repairing.  He said if the frame was bent, that was an entirely different ball game.  (Did not think to ask what would happen if so, since I was at work)

I am glad about this, becuase when I arrived at the body shop, I got into a heated discussion with one of thier guys.  (He tried to say there was no possible way the frame was damaged, and when I pointed out how the passenger door was, he tried to tell me it was previous damage not related to this incident)  Basically I was trying to point this area out for repair purposes and mainly to stress that the frame REALLY needs to be checked.

Oh well... I'm keeping my fingers crossed it all goes down smoothly, whatever may happen.  I've been burned by insurance companies before, but this time they seem to be ontop of things.

BTW, they gave me a rental CAR!! lol said not to smoke in it or let my pets ride in it.... they didn't say nothing about I couldn't go fishin with it.  guess I'll lay down a tarp just in case and call it good.

I think it came down becuase it was old.  The roots looked rotten.  There may have been some windy conditions, Not sure, I can sleep through trains rolling by and my uncle dropping by in his 18wheeler.  Personally I beleive that there should be a check box titled "Just my Luck" lol
