You boy need to come up and skim the open water while riding the lakes and rivers in the winter, talk about an adrenelin rush   Brutes can skim, all it takes is speed, I found 50mph is what it takes to make a decent run, thats just me though, and four wheel drive of course.  I used to practice this all the time at a farm I used to ride, people thought I was nuts, now I do it on the trails all the time.

Never seen it done at waters edge. I always needed around 10 Feet and a smooth transition. You have to get a little momentum up b/c the bike actually will wheelie on the water. A short rolling start helps prevent that.

It can be done if it gradually gets deeper, but its not possible with a drop off.

i havent skimmed dont have anything capable of doing it but i have been to red creek and seen alot of people skimming he said he had a 75hp shot of nitrous but maybe he was just lying who knows but i really dont care anymore but his bike was nice he had a custom paint job it was white with green flames even if he was lying he still had a nice bike

From the looks of your bike, you would have to get your money right before it will skim! Not saying you have a cheap bike, in fact it looks quite nice. But what most people who haven't ever tried to skim don't realize, is that it isn't as easy as you think!

Look closely, his bike with the right tires is very capable of doing it.
