It may just be my raising so yall can blame that on my mom and dad but there is a thing called morals!  How much respect will be lost for those who do get caught cheating next year when the new rules are in place? JMO

I still say that the sticker mod is the best bang for the buck. $15 plus 2 minutes to change = huge gains...........

But you know what..........theres no sticker mod for the 400......

alright you guys are talking about adam and the mudnutz having all kinds of work done to their motors and this and that.  Alright so all of their bikes have some r&d.  Maybe they have throttle body bored?, maybe they have bigger intake tract?, maybe they have larger injector?, Maybe they have clutch mods?  Who knows?  But hey.. that stuff is legal.  Your not making the motor bigger with bigger pistons, stronger rods, lightened and balanced crank.  They work with the stuff that they have.  Maybe they have found more things to mod?  Maybe They have come up with mods of their own?  Look at john cannon when he first raced his can-am.  He was one of the most known people in mud racing.  Everyone wanted to beat john.  John is an awesome rider, and an even more awesome person.  Sure john lost some, but everybody remembers the races he won.  He had more power than brutes(at the time he just got his outlander).  But majority of his races he won were because john can ride!  Also about the time when i got my first outlander(july of 06), john had already been doing mods to the outlander.  He ran the outlander hard.  So he got the dobeck i beleive and starting tuning it.  At that time him and aaron sporna both had bungs in their exhaust.  Aaron on the stock 700(tuned) was only like 2 hp behind john in his tuned outlander.  Coming to my conclusion.  Its not always what you have its who you have behind the two grips, and who's thumb is behind the throttle.  Some people can sometimes flat out drive better than others, sometimes its the pit.  There are a lot of variations that could make opinions.  But this is mine.  Plus, im sure if there were motor work you would know it.  If there were something other than legal you guys would already know about it.  Someone, somewhere would run there mouth.  This isn't to make anyone mad this is just my explaination of it all.

YMMMM....  Yes motor work is legal in the rules but how far you push the cc's is the question in mind.  Or what CC the motor started out to be???  I am not even in  some of the classes that these bikes are in and I have sat back and watched a 500 class bike pull two lengths (at least) in the pit time and time again.  And I know some of the other bikes in the same class have good legal power for a 500 class bike.  It looks like the bike could run with the 650 or 700 class without a problem..  And if someone wants to say they got the biggest CC bike out for the Can Am more power to you, but I know Flynt will offer the motor mods to anyone that will be a paying customer.  And he is dead on with his CC's and not just uping the count to say he has the biggest motor.  Cant wait to see one run Flynt...

lol...

I can see all sides of everything that has been said...The thing that Adam does differently, or where he has his advantage, is how he comes into the waterwheely just off holeshot IMO.  IMO it's a technique and crush-lok advantage moreso than a "motor" advantage.  It's not that he's actually getting "the holeshot" on the start everytime, just that he pulls better/quicker traction in the first 10-15ft of the pit.  And this is true for all classes...not just the "fast 500" that everyone is discussing.

That's my POV anyway.  I don't have a "dog in the fight" and as such, I will give my true opinions... If I were the guy winning the races, I would probably be a bit more coy...

Oh wasn't being sarcastic at all. It really made sense to me. Sorry about the wording. It's hard to write it as you see it sometimes without it conveying the wrong thing. The avatars help but not always.

HMMM...  Holeshot takes a little more hp to get it like he does everytime.  Plus he does have the extra weight in the wheels so he needs that extra 150 CC's to get it turning...  Just my point of view...

Easy Rob!

Its beyond the motor, you can have tons of HP and if you can't get it to the ground then you're not getting anywhere.  People like the MudNutZ keep us on our toes.  Challenges breed innovation, lets see who can come up with the next big combo!!

I think I know someone who is going to have a bike that will have everyone chasing taillights in the pits next year, and its not me...

You finally getting your girl into racing Russell....  Kim will be hitting the pits very soon...  I am not bashing at all I would love a little friendly race...  Sorry if I stepped on someones toes but I will always be upfront on what I race.  I dont mind telling people what I do to keep on top.  That is what I love about the sport but it is slowly changing to secrets...
