We bought New joints from cvman for my girls 04 650 AC and have had nothing but luck with them. Theres always going to be someone thats unhappy with a product no matter what.

It's consistancy that will build a brand. There's plenty of people on here who break or tear up this or that along with dozens of others with no problems from the same product.

This is just another case of that same situation.

Spend $160 and you get $160 worth of product. Dont buy a CV man axel for $160 and expect G axel performance which cost $350+. Then when you dont get the $350+ performance for your $160 you want to slam the mans prduct. Buy stock for $279 or G's for $350+ or quit complaning. You went the cheap way out, learned your lesson, and are now moving on. Done deal. (the you and your in this statement are generic to express a point and are not aimed at any member of this forum)

I'm sorry you feel that way. But I can assure you we have less than a 1% defect rate. If you have a lift be prepared to spend a lot of money on axles, period!

Yes i am aware of what mods i have on my bike. Thanks for stating the obvious!

So why don`t in your product description put a disclaimer stating that if you have oversized tires or suspension modifications then this product will not be covered

this is what you state on ebay

"Customer service & return policy: Satisfaction guaranteed, we offer a 1 year warranty on all parts."

So what does this mean?

It says nothing about having any type of mods done to your bike.

This is an image of my cv angle with the BIG LIFT on it.

And here is one with no lift.

I don`t see much difference at all. Just cause a company calls it a 2in lift doesn`t mean you get a full 2inches. You can get up to 2inches but different applications vary.

Im gonna get off this forum to vent.

Try removing the inner boot and then look how close you are to the rim of the inner cv joint when you jack the vehicle up off the ground. You have to allow for the full range of travel (not just when it sitting there parked in the driveway). As for the warranty look on your invoice. We also have it on our listings on Ebay.

b) When the a-arm drops down (i.e. while the bike leaves the ground). The inner cage is cocked at a very steep angle. Then when hit the ground with a hard force the ball, cage and race need to slide back into the inner cv joint cup. However, with the cage (the part that has 6 windows that the balls ride in) is at this extreme angle it will cause the joint to bind. Then when the shaft comes in it's equivalent to breaking a twig over your knee.

so if you hit a bump on the trail, ramp a tree, pop a wheelie or do anything where the wheels come off the ground you dont gaurantee them to be able to withstand it?

Of course these will with stand normal use. However, as I have been trying tell everyone (not on lifted vehicles). Read my post to understand why. And Xplorer470 I'm glad you decided against these with a 6" lift on your bike I'm sure I would have been dealing with more undeserved bashing. I have always dealt with everyone honestly, but as you can see by some of these post I get a few  dishonest people blowing smoke up my gazoo about the mods on their bikes. I have never said these where an option for lifted vehicles. Even though I have seen several post to the contrary. I'm working on axles for that purpose but anytime any one tells me that there vehicle is lifted we recommend "G" axles. We're not going to ruin our good reputation to try and make 1 sale. I would suggest "if in doubt check us out". But perhaps on other forums that aren't devoted to jacked up vehicles.

I can't say for certain without seeing the parts first hand. But I will say that it looks to me like the boot clamps were leaking ((Most people struggle with these) or he had a torn boot. And based on the rust, heat marks and the condition of the balls this would be my bet. Also I  have no way of knowing the condition of the ball tracks inside the housing. If these parts had been kept properly greased they'd still be shinny since the ball bearings are chromed. Looks pretty dirty to me. And this is not typically going to look this bad just trying to limp it back to camp.

that was a pic i took a few weeks ago after replacing my axle with a factory honda. they had been sittin on my porch for awhile in the weather.

if the boot clamps were leaking or there was not enough grease then that is a defect on YOUR fault seeing as the fact that this was an OUTER cv.

also there weas no hole in the boot, i kept it as a spare and last weekend i put it on after i had a tree gouge an inner on the other side, no leaks no either.

Well, the last axle I got from the cv man held up all day yesterday at Wilborn's. Mud, hills, rocks, and regular trails. I was so relieved, and sruprised when I loaded it on the trailer, and had all 4 wheels still pulling. I even had to mash on the go pedal pretty hard in 2wd to get up some of the hills. I am not changing my opinion of these axles, yet. It's gonna have to hold up to alot more than 1 hard day of riding. I just thought I would give an update on my latest experience with the "heavy duty" axles.

Just to throw in my two cents, I broke one of his axle's a couple weeks ago, sent him the invoice of 16 months ago and called him. He said it was not under warranty but if I send him the complete CV he would put another shaft on for 40 bucks. Really he COULD have said out of warrant go pack sand but he didn't. I just hope he up- grades his axles to be as strong as the monkey ones at a lower price. 375.00 is highway robbery for one axle.. I know what everyone is going to say "you have to pay to play" but come on this is crazy.JMO.

So has anyone bought his axles and still useing them..???  sounds like they break very fast.

I had one on the front right side of my 300 and it held up for a good 1000 miles w/ no problems...  I was running 26" mudbugs and I have a very light right thumb.  One thing I really liked about his axles was that the boots seemed very thick and durable...  I would probably buy from him again if it was the other axle that broke seeing how cheap they are and how well my right axle has held up.  Jm .02

Danny, a few words of advice from a mechanic and warranty technician.

Explain your warranty terms better.  When I purchased that CV rebuilt kit from you, installed it, broke it, then tried to warranty it with no luck, I was a little upset considering your warranty statement.

The e-mail you sent back stating that rebuilt kits were NOT covered under warranty was what caught me off guard.  Nowhere did I read anything stating that before I heard it from you.  It makes perfect sense to me why they are not covered, but the fact that the words all parts is included in your warranty statement doesn't seem right.  Someone who doesn't understand the technical side of why you wouldn't cover the rebuild kit could stir up tons of trouble for you.

I'm not bashing you in any way, I'm just trying to offer some feedback on our end of the deal.

I won't use your products again given the issues I've had with them on my non-lifted bike.  But that's just me.

I don't see why people a helping CV man out... if something is marketed as HEAVY DUTY, and it can't hold up to factory specs, who is in the wrong here?  People who expect heavy duty axles?  Doesn't make since.
