A new ring and pinion is about $200. The bearings are like new...

chevy4life, It was, with a totally different motor in it. This motor was gone through top and bottom about 3 months ago (if that long).

Not sure whay it would matter, they can only be bought as a set and should only be replaced as a set if you want any chance of it staying together.
