hey buddy, you dealer is trying to get you to spend more money. they more or less would do this. say they put better rods in and charge you and arm and a leg for new stock rods.  these oem rods are strong.
i have used hotcams in the past but not on a kawie. i used them on a honda 400ex. i used stage 2 cams. it was no race setup but made tons of lowend and midrange.

I heard the hotcams are just a little bit better then stock. I also heard that the web 150I cams are better then the hotcams and increase much better. and are another drop in cam.

Anything bigger than web150i you'll have to have valve springs as well...

Stock rods are fine... even with an 840... even spraying a lot of nitrous...

my 4000 went to the 900 stroker. all the parts and labor. i figured that was about right for what i was getting. i know that crank was expensive. it should be worth it though

Thats fine, but to list a price and not list what it entails is almost as if bashing. Falicon rods and cranks aren't cheap by any means nor are 840 parts in general for that matter but if you know someone doing it much cheaper than the rest please share! I could always use another. :)

well i never got a parts lists, also he  said he had tricked out 1 650 vtwin and wanted to do mine, but it was kinda expensive to me on my budget at that time. So i let a good friend re-build it here locally...AND I AM VERY HAPPY..BTW HE WILL BE TRICKING OUT MY P700 THIS WINTER TOO !!!!!!
