Status: offline 		My brother had a Suzy quadracer 250 and smoked the honda 250-r  when it first came out. I didn't like how the suzy handled, talk about shaky! If you didn't tighten all the bolts after every ride it would fall apart! I would never hop on a zilla back in the day though...just too crazy. Now is another story though.

Not saying this isnt true because i have never rode one but if so i guess it will run about 30mph in first gear? were these bikes a four or a five speed?

Status: offline 		Use to flat track race back in the 80's and 90's and saw a bunch of fast bikes.  The zillas in stock form were like shee's they were not that fast to me because I was use to bikes.  Now the modded bikes that were at the top were fast real fast and it always came down to modded 250r's and shee's none of zillas would stay running long enough.  I never rode in the 750 class for bikes but they would pull 140 plus easily on the 1 mile tracks.  Biggest bikes I raced were Rotax 600's and I would be around 120 going into the corners.  I worked at a dealership in college that sold the Cannondale's but they never really caught on in my area just the price scared people away plus some reliability issues.  I rode them alot and they were fast but not that much faster than the 450's of today and the Outlaw 525 is faster than the Dales.  As for out of the box top speed the Bombardier 650 DS is hard to beat.

Oh yeah I have a built 96 CR250 in a flat track frame that will run well over 100 mph.  Just has to have the top end rebuilt after ever 3 races or so.  Just start it up ever so often but it has not been raced since 2002.  See if I can get some pics of it.  That bike is wicked fast once the rpm's are up.  Never will forget the look on a guys face when I was testing out some stuff on it and went past a guy on the highway by my house at about 90+.

Status: offline 		the "fastest"(top speed) and the "quickest" (say 0-60mph or whatever) are two differnt things. which one are you looking for? Anything can be geared high enough to run 85mph but it takes a real machine to get you there quick enough to make your butt cheeks put a ripple in the seat cover!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, yes it is the fastest because of that rocket. 

BUT, it's got a little more than just a solid-fueled rocket. "This ATV had an ALBA modified motor, ELKA suspension, castor-modified Laeger A-arms, Boss-Noss EFI enhancements and nitrous delivery system, E-Ram Supercharger, TrailTech computer and lighting system and vortex generators."

I was wrong about the rocket Raptor having BOTH top-speed and acceleration.  I know it has top-speed, but not sure about acceleration. 

The ALBA Raptor 4.0.  149.45 MPH top speed.  Holds the Guiness World record for the Worlds Fastest ATV.
