the looks don't bother me so much... kinda like the new chevy... once you throw some big tires under it, it will probably fill it out better.  Are there any gauges on it?  It just doesn't seem to have the fun factor the other sxs have... maybe more like the ranger

The winch bumper makes the front end look 100xs better. I can't wait to see one with a lift, some bigger tires, and some custom wheels. I love that Honda came out with the Big Red and Kawi came out with the Teryx. The UTV scene was getting boring with all the Rhinos and Rhino look alikes on the trails. That is one reason why I am buying the new Prowler 1000 XTZ that and the 951 cc V-twin engine.

I think the opposite.

the Rhino, RZR, prowler and Teryx are already out and proven.
why would anybody, even a honda fan overlook that and get the first model that could have serious problems?

the BR has IRS right?
I agree with you to a certain extent. The Rhino and Prowler have already proven themselves but the Teryx and RZR have not and I like the Teryx and RZR but I don't think they have proven themselves to be a recognized machine. And as far the big Red goes Do not expect it to be a sporty SxS, I see it as competitor for the Mule and thats about it. A slow moving workhorse for the farm, geared super low and a top speed of less than 30mph.

Are you kidding me?? i dont know much about the teryx, but im sure it is legit if it is anything like the "brute". The rzr  dominates in the mud pit and mostly anywhere else (with the rhino not far behind)!!. The prowler, I dont know much about but from what i have seen it is a great machine.

I think the big red is gonna be a great "workhorse"
**big on safety and efficiency**
I think some people are trying to put it in the category (mud racing) which it is not intended to be in, but it is probably a great machine.

I don't think of it as a mud racer, as big as it is it really doesn't stand a chance in a race. But I imagine that you will see a few of them out on the trail going through a few mud holes.

Supposed to be a pretty fun little rig, like a small jeep. Top speed is 45mph, has 2wd open rear diff, 4wd with locked rear diff, and 4wd w/ all wheel diff lock. The diff lock is not electronic, its a cable system. Supposed to be the most comfortable and ergonomically correct SxS out. It doesn't look nearly as bad in real pictures, rather then the Honda site studio crap. Also, Honda is supposed to release another SxS Sept. 5th that will be smaller and sportier than the Big Red.

How do you know about the smaller sxs. I haven't heard anything about it, but that would be cool something to but the RZR in it place.

Correct, as well as the rear.

I heard from a dealer, not that they usually know more than anyone else but it does make sense.

It will probable be another year or more. My dealer heard about the Prowler 1000 XTZ a year ahead of its release so they may know something a normal person wouldn't.
