Its pretty easy to break a axle i watchd my old dealer do it just get it on 2wheels and ride it out the gas it right before it lands basically one tire is spinning fast then the other and it breaks ..So one wheel is gripping more than the other and one broke maybe thats what happend to your friend . On the diff if its the arcticcat it wouldnt surprise me

Yeah,it was the AC,the Honda was at the end of the hole, and the artic cat was in the middle, they were both stuck for over an hour in the same hole.I think that Honda backed up to try to save the cat and sunk in the rutsThem ruts were freakin HUGE!!!

Thats why i dont want **** axles there stronger and what was the axle for being the weak link then now the weak link is your driveshaft and diff when you add ****'s . Thats another reason why i dont want monkey axles and the axles are cheap up north 150 a piece

I no for a fact the grizz doesnt have the best belt system out there you can talk to any cat mudder out there the arcticcat belt system will out last any brand it holds up to the most stress if you think im messing around with you can you talk to gwc or engie about the belt  . For the best big bore a brute , can am and any arcticcat over 700 will out run and fit bigger tires than a grizz . If it was for trail riding i would go with the Thundercat then cam am then the grizz . The grizz just seems to be in the middle of the pack of atvs and not really at the top of the pack put thats my opinion also b.w.l 500 and jared good for you on the popo my friend has one and it didnt suite my needs like my cat did for where we ride  .

If I remember right, Arctic Cat copied their belt system off of the Yamaha design?

I figure if my old 98 model foreman will spin 31s without a gear reduction a rincon with some mods and a gear reduction should have no problem.   I may not have pics right off hand but I have witnesses on this website.

I think if IT CAN BE DONE I CAN DO IT.

You got any vids of your foreman spinning the 31s?

No offense to you polaris owners, but from my personal preference with Polaris,I realy dont like them,i mean, they look awesome and got crazy power, but they break way too much, and they piss me off because we miss rides when bikes are outta commission.i mean,One pushed me out,and im gratefull that he had all that GC to push me out,but then a while late,on flat ground,he broke an axle before we even got to the place to ride,so it was really over before it began, which made me mad that I went all that way for nuthin.Yall might like em,but I dont..........

I have seen it spin them in reality, there was 5 people on the bike and it seemed to turn them like it was nothing in bar-deep mud/water.

Thats ok we all will grow up one day, just like i did. Come out and ride with me and if you can go through everything i can than we can talk. Its all how you treat them. I bet your buddy that broke an axle wasnt on no 26" ITP 589's either, just something to think about.

If you want anything to do with muddin, dont buy a rincon. I am saying this from experience. My rincon want spinn 28 laws worth a piss. I have been very disapointed.

Not you,im talkin to that other dude.Ay,the reason you have trouble spinning them 28's is because you have no mods, the rincon is too high geared for 28's without mods.....

well guys I just think it would be a fun project to prove to people that it can be done.

31's aren't THAT much heavier than 30" mudlites... about 8lbs... which isnt that much... I know I have a set of both

I may end up buying a rincon just to try it myself... but at the same time I love the brute sounds... and the way they look... but I'de just like to do a rincon just to try to prove people wrong.... money isnt that much of an issue to me when somebody tells me I CANT do something I'de sell my liver if I had to.

somebody said something about brutes and can ams being sick... a can am does look sick... looks like **** if you ask me... probably the ugliest wheeler made IMO... doesnt mean they dont have a good engine though

and for grizzlies... I'de rather have a 250 recon than a grizzly.  If sombody gave me $50K and told me to buy 5 big bore bikes.  I assure a grizzly would not be in there

green420... I dun have any vids... I wish I did.  I dun even know anybody with a digital video camera..  I could go buy one but I know if I do it'll end up ruined and that'll be a wasted $300... come down to wesson on the 15th for the mud rally and I HOPE its gunna be there.. no reason it shouldnt though

I've tried it man!. I put every bolt on mod available and then went into the motor with cam and 12.5-1 piston. the gear reduction etc..... After all that I took it to extreme and ran it on the dyno. 27.53 rwhp. It would do great with my 29.5's in watery mud but thick stuff i was stuck on flat ground. a lil dissapointing. But if you insist , Ive got the toughest rincon in the south( next to that yellow monkey one with the 50% reduction) for sale if you want a project bike !

lol   funny  thread,,,,,speaking from personal experiance, and also being 46 yrs old,  who  do i need to  imress or lie to? i had 30" mudlites on my  ride, and for water, and trails and soup  they  worked well. i have been  in  some tough clay heavy  mud and i could still turn  them, but not fast  enough to clean  them  out. since....i have just put a set  of 27" monky tires on, and just  the diam. of tire made a big diff, as far as low end . i have twice the lug and traction  now, and can actually spin them a little better in the thick  stuff,   but i dont have to  spin them bcus it crawls thru  like a dozer. its funny how many  popos and kaws and griz's i pull out of pits....lol   and none of them  will follow me into 5 foot of water either !  just my  .02  worth.
