Try Westley"s Bleach White. It,s for cleaning tires and their white lettering. I use it for everything. It'll get red mud stains off hoses and such. Don,t get it on cloth though. It's some mean stuff! After washing, spray some kinda spray on tire shine on everything under your atv. Mud won,t stick next time you ride. Rub down plastic w/ Turtle Wax Ice synthetic polish/detailer. Again mud won't stick. Got lots of comments on how good mine looked after cleaning this way!

Purple power. Just make sure the engine is cold when you spray it on, it will leave white stains if the engine's hot.

We got products straight from a chemical company (my dad owns a automobile detail shop) but this is what all I use.  To clean the plastics we use a product known as Panel Cleaner, not sure what it is exactly.  Most likely just some form of degreaser.  To clean the motor from the stained brown back to the machined gray color I use acid.  Any product that contains a fair amount of acid should do the trick.  Nothing will just take it off.  To get a stained motor back clean it takes hours of spraying on, scrubbing with a brush, and power washing off.  Once you get it clean it is very easy to maintain though.  You can also use this same approach on the differential cases.  You can use the acid product on an HMF without scrubbing and it will come spotless.  Just don't let it sit more than about a minute on the HMF.  Once you get it washed up, spray some sort of shining product to make the plastic and tires look better and also make the mud easier to wash off.  That's all I really know to do to it.

i wouldnt use etching mach because it doesnt get all of it off in the first place...and it rust all of the bolts that are on the outside of the engine...
