to do a complete adjustment, go down by the diff lever there is an adjustment down there, turn the one on the handle bar all the way in. then make an adjustment down at the diff area, then make your final adjustment up at the handle bar. the rate is 7 lbs of pull to get the locker in. I also do this with the right fron wheel off the ground a little so i can spin the tire with my hand and make adjsutments until i get it to lock all the way i use the tire of the ground so i can feel if it locks in if i can turn the wheel then it works if i can turn it alittle then i need to go a little tighter on the adjsutment. ok also since your a so called dodge tech tell me whats wrong with my 05 ram 1500. I dont know if its the steering pump or the rack. when i turn its sometimes is so stiff i cant turn the wheel but if i rev up the motor the pumps screams and i can turn. other times its ok. and get this i have checked my fluid leve its shows fine at cold. then get this some times i find fluid all over the top of the res. and i check the level and it over full. i thought the pump is bad. but i get some poeple saying its the rack. with 50K on the truck this shouldnt be happening. i have had a 98 chevy with over 100K with over sized tires and never had this happen. this one gots me stumped.
