Killer bike.

I agree on keeping wide rears on a SRA bike(especially a light weight 300). Those skinnies are great for big heavy twin independant bikes that are gonna sink to the bottom anyway. The skinnier tire has less resistance to push it through the muck. Wide tires with a SRA = the longer you can keep it on top, the better.

edit: I too would like to see some finished/in action pics if possible.

hey nice bike!!
but i have a stock 97' honda 300 and im getting tires and a ctutch kit.
i wana get some vampires. should i get 25" on back and 24" on front or 26" on back and 25" on front with the clutch kit. im not sure if it would pull them good with just a clutch kit... what do u think?

IMO it would look horrible with a size smaller on the front.. get 26s all the way arround and 12s in back 10s or 9.5s in front. with a clutch kit it will pull these tires just fine.

Yeah, putting the tire stagger on it that it was designed for is a horrible idea. It's much better to the put the driveline in a bind just so that it looks like other 4wd bikes that are designed(geared) for equal height tires...

There are plenty of people who run even height tires on a 300 and swear they don't notice any difference. My bike had 25's on both end when I bought it and after borrowing some 24's for the front I beg to differ. The steering effort is much heavier with even tires. - In general, I just don't understand why anyone would want to put their driveline in a bind that it wasn't designed for. I realize that it is fiarly minimal, but it is still a bind.
- end rant(not trying to offend, just stating some facts)

300vamped - Aggressive 26's rear, 25's front will be ok in most situations with the mods you're listing. Thick mud will be a bit of a problem. I've got exhaust, K&N w/ snorkle and a good tune and I'm certain I'll be fine with 26x12 rears and my 25x10's moved to the front. The clutch kit would help even more, but you didn't list a good filter or exhaust. - FYI, vampires skinnier than 12" wide tend to run short. Check the interco site for actual size, but a 26x10 front, 26x12 rear may be a good combo.

ok so you're saying that i should go ahead and put 26" all the way around and it wouldnt mess anything up?
but how do u fix the gears where i wont have that problem about putting an inch smaller on the front?
and yea im getting the clutch kit.
