That sucks. I heard a few folks got letters in the mail from Howard reminding them that the camp was in a dry county. Guess I'll try em out tomorrow night. Hope they don't show up.

Well I got a ticket for possession of beer in a dry county!!! ($184) Well the good thing talked to the Game warden about the New creek law. You can cross from one side to the other if you have permssion to be on that land but you can't drive down the creek.

Matt

Matt, what river were you on?

Nevermind I heard which river..If the game warden gave you the ticket then you should be able to get out of it since they cannot write a ticket for that in a dry county. They have to call a Deputy to write the ticket...

Chris

I trying to get out of it just sux because we wasn't doing anything that every one on the river wasn't doing they just got just. They took my beer but didn't take the others. I gust they drank Coors Light. LOL

I thought they have the same power as a Deputy but I have had 3 people tell me they couldn't wright that.

We will see I haft to go to work Sunday so got to do something fast.

Matt

Being new to Mississippi, you saying I can get a ticket for just having an unopened can of beer in my posession in a dry county?

You sure can unless your on a state road. But you can pull off the highway in to your drive way and then they can wright it.

That law is about as stupid as the old Louisiana Blue Laws. Maybe one day these dry counties will come join the modern world.

Yeah, my neighbor and I both got letters from Howard about a week ago reminding everyone to be careful, drink out of cups or keep them in huggies.  I had something like that happen in wesson last year, my wife, who was totaly sober wanted to go get something to eat, so she left T-Lanes headed into town, they stopped her at a road block, saw two cases of beer in the back and took em. These were the wesson city cops (d-bags).

See I don't understand how cops can do that, or what they're reasoning is. If the beer is closed, you arent drinking it, and you aren't drunk...how can they take all the beer? It's kinda like "well, you live in a dry county, sorry bout your luck but no beer for you!" Different laws I guess. I'm glad it's not like that here. Like I said before, we're in a dry county, but cops aren't going to take your beer unless you're drunk, and they don't set up road blocks anywhere...
