i have a sportsman 500 lifted, with every imaginable mod (built close to my 700) so it will turn any tire... the problem is i have a set of outlaws on it right now... im gonna give this bike to my girlfriend, and her little 5'2", 106 lb frame cant really turn the bike well with the outlaws.  what tire do yall think i should go with to help her out, but maintain performance in the deep mud?  think the old school EDL/outlaw combo would help her out? just give me your opinions.

mud lites arent as bad as you make them out to be dude.. i got a set on my grizz and it does real good in mud... maybe its because i can keep them cleaned out good, i dunno but they do pretty good

i know the outlaws are strong.. i have had a few sets of them... they are just so strong  that my girlfriend (Sydney) keeps going straight...[&o]

lol i understand that... i say go with some mud bugs, mud lites (they arent as terrible as outlawed rancher thinks), swamp lites or somthin like that... my 30" mud lites steer very easy and they do pull pretty good in the mud and ride excellent.

yep mine do pretty good... my fiance can drive mine anywhere... she is about the same size as you girlfriend

yeah i wouldnt think she would be bailing off in mud over the racks, being she is so small she wouldnt have a chance in steering any tire in that deep of mud lol...

yeah the worst thing you can do is under-estimate a smaller bike... my buddy has a 99 foreman 450 with 27" vamps that will follow most of our big bikes, he is givin it he!! but its going lol

How Old Are U?.....     12......I am not knocking honda...they are a decent ride,,,it is just your attitude.....

whenever we come to anything rack deep, if it's not a pond, she normally just watches me go through it or will ride on the back with me, and if i get stuck she will pull me out with "her" bike. She has had it fender deep a few times and enjoyed that... she just needs a tire on it she can turn with..but still has good pulling power in the mud...

I agree with the Lites  ....they are a good 60% Mud and 40% Trail tire...

i jumped from 27" lites to 30's and honestly i didnt feel much of a power loss... the 30's weigh 35lbs each i think...

The bigger you go ...the less Pull You will have...I would say 28's

i bet the sp 500 would stand up easy with mud lites...heel clicker clutch, high comp. piston, 38 mm flatside carb, aaen exhaust, with everything fully snorkeled, believe it or not it felt like that bike gained a good bit of power when i snorkeled it.

The  Heel Clicker is a great Add On for the Sporty for sure.....
