I found a big shot of nitrous is no good one some tracks also Flynt. If the track is rough it seems to make the bike uncontrolable and slower.

Your times are still killer in a 4x4. Its hard enough to run those times in a 2 wd sport bike.

Did you get any video??

No vids. I did get some last weekend, but it's on my video camera and I don't know how to change the format to something I can download to youtube. I'll get my dad to do it this week.

Yeah, the bike was totally uncontrolable on the nitrous. Ha ha on the first bottle pass I ran a 4.90... Got out twice maybe three times.

Yep it sounds just like a track I went to once.

I was 4.7 on motor and in between a 4.65 to a 5.4 on nitrous.

The track I have real close by is a dirt and sand mix and it loves the nitrous but the guy keeps it groomed well. I ran a 4.3 there with less nitrous than I was running at the other track I ran the 4.65 at. That was also with the old slower setup.

Thats exactly what I was going to say.

If you cant steer because your front wheels dont touch the whole 300ft then you can only pray that your bike stays straight.

It only takes one bump to throw you sideways. Then its either let off or eat a guard rail.

You all need to clutch it to brake lose a little more if it is hooking that bad to where it is going sidewayss, shot I have went as far as letting air pressure down on one side to make it go straight LOL,if she hooks left let air out the right side you know,it works. My best and fastest passes have been almost the hole track 300' and a few has been the hole track 300' on the rear tires watching the guard rail to make sure it is going straight still.
Flynt are you running a controler on the Nitrous and if not you should get you one it will really change everything for the good fo you man,Gauge has one I think and I here they make a world of a difference,I will be running one on my NX Kit on the 840 when its done.

Ha, it' not a tire pressure issue, it doesn't have a particular way it goes just which ever.tire gets traction first. Also, I'm running about 3500 rpm stall so I'm not sure how to get more "break loose" clutcing. When you're running 80" roll out 16 paddle staggereds there isn't much spin on a 700 lb quad. Also ask Gauge about that progressive controler. I'm running sub 1.5 60' times on the motor so not sure if it's gonna get much better than that, not saying we're not gonna try though!8)

Sub 1.5 60ft's?

Wow if I could get sub 1.5's I think it would be the ticket for a 3 second run on a V force.

I am getting High 1.6's and 1.7's

We've done it a few times high 1.40's and low 1.50's seems to be where I'm at with the current setup.

haha, There's no way I'll get back on that thing!! For 2 reasons-1. being I have bad luck and there is no tellin what might happen next! 2. being the last time I rode it I pee'ed in my pants and the sound of those beastly drag pipes was stuck in my head and haunted me at night for weeks!

Just curious, but why do all this to a brute rather than a v-force?

RSB,

Because its soooo much fun to see the look of disbelief on the face of some poor smuck riding a sport quad after you half-tracked him using a 4x4 ute! lol

But seriously, I find its more enjoyable to build up a 4x4 ute to be fast b/c 1) most folks don't expect a 4x4 ute to be faster than a sport quad...and that makes it more fun to win on a sleeper, 2) anyone with $ in their pocket can easily build a light weight sport quad to go fast...so where's the challenge in that? lol

Happy trails...:)

Yes it is awesome when you sign up for the Pro Class with Banshees and all and they see you line up and are looking and wondering why is he lining up and roll up and 4.4 or better and you come back around and then you hear them say that B is Fast, and my best is to see them having a line up issue when no one wants to line up to race you and they have to flip for it
