I work for Amtrak going from N'awlins to Chicago or New York City and return and very much like it.  Too many positives to mention, but previous to this I was (and am) a licensed aircraft mechanic.  The luster of working on an airplane is loooong over with me.  My last two years I was working for a large regional airline in Memphis and will never miss the bankruptcies, mergers, hiring freezes, pay-cuts, can't use your travel privledges...etc.
