I sure do appriciate it. I called yesterday to see if the surgens fee was included in the surgery center's bill since I hadn't recieved it yet. The answer was no, and that I should be recieving yet another bill in the mail within the next week or so. When I asked what the balance was, the receptionist that answered the phone said she didn't know and couldn't find out immediately, and the she's call me back, and if she didn't the bill should be here in a couple days. That's got me nervous.........even more.

Yeah gotta love those doctors. I had a heart attack about 3 months ago, and i was truly blown away by all the bills that just kept pouring into my mailbox. Dr so and so for charging for peeking at me through the er door, another one for the Dr that talked to the Dr in the hall about me.... they got you and they know it

Well enough Dr. ranting from me, get well brother, we'll be praying for you.

if i knew it was gonna cost $1100 to put jw to sleep for the surgery, i would spent $20 on a case of beer to make him pass out and just kept the other $1080. lol (thats a lot of new shoes

not done yet, but pretty good. Only had 1 day to work on it so far, got it dry fitted all the way up to the front. Now have the fun of taking it all back down and painting and glueing it all together. Still have a couple other things to do to it, but should be ready for the Aug. 23rd. ride at Hickory Creek. I hope! Gonna do the Bruin next.

Thanks squirrel5, was great meetin ya. I'm gettin around a bit better, and have been goin to town for short periods of time (I get tired easily and quickly) to fill out applications. Doc ain't released me, but I gotta find something. I have kicked both crutches, and have put my shoes on, and been in town. Can't get my boots on or off yet, so that's the biggest draw back. Hopefully some of these apps I got out will call shortly, things goin to get awefully tight shortly.

Sure thanke everyone that has helped me out in the last month. It's all allowed me to make this months bills, hopefully I'll have a job to take care of things. With Lindsey workin and makin the little she does, that helps too.

Once again I do thank everyone that has/will helped us out.

lol ive only worn my crocs out of the house 2x since it happened. ive been too paranoid to put them on my feet.

Just got the last bill in yesterday. $1400 in surgen's fees.

Will have to call Monday to make payment arrangements. I startin to look for work, found a part time job, but it's not payin near enough in hours or money to make half the bills, let alone all of them. Still lookin for something full time, just can't be up on my feet ALL day. I already up and walkin on it more than I probally should, but it ain't hurtin while just walkin, so ain't worried bout it. If it hurts, I stop, if it don't, I keep goin.

That's good news! I suppose a little coming in is better than nothing at all. Also you might want to check with your hospital and specialist, most of them offer a income based plan where you won't have to pay the total ro sometimes not pay anything at all due to your income. Check it out, usually on the back of one of the hospital bills it will have a number to call to see if you can qualify for (low) income help at worst they will say no you don't qualify but should be able to set you up with some sort of payment plan. Just trying to offer some more help to you. Good luck man. And take it easy on that ankle, just cause it doesn't hurt now don't mean you won't feel it in a few years, I did the same thing and pay for it now!
