i am wanting to put 38s on my truck,i know i wll need a 6" lift with a 3" body,4.88 gears.will the stock axles hold up to 38s?and im pretty sure i will need to drive shafts?and what about the steering?

Install a straight axle in it if your going to do any offroading.  Lifting that TTB with that big of a tire not only will break the stock TTB setup but it will be so hard to keep aligned and roasting away 38's is a waste of money.

I got a 1995 f150 with 4" blocks front and back with 35" swampers with stock gears and a straight axle.

95 model with blocks front and back?  scary.  Hope it don't get driven on the road much less anywhere with blocks in the front.

Im pretty sure its got blocks in the front but not possitive but its kinda a daly driver. It rides fine tho.

blocks under coil springs?

My buddy has a 92 F150 with a 4" suspension lift and 3" body lift on Super Swamper 36's. I'll see if I can get some pics. He got it regeared to 4.56 which with the 36's brings it back to the gear ratio like it has stock gearing and stock tires.

A '95 4x4 didn't have coil springs. It had twin I-beam suspension. They ran it until '97. How would you run blocks on that?

CTownForeMan -> RE: 91 ford f150 lifted pic,anyone got some? (7/17/2008 12:02:34 PM)

The twin traction beam set up ran coil springs.  If he converted to leaf springs he woulda had to change the whole front of the frame because of the accordian style frame.  Lots of unanswered questions.
