I dont have the turner one in front of me but I was wanting to figure the reduction percentage out.

Stock is 22 and 40.
Turner is ? and  ?

Reduction is  ?...

I have heard three different amounts. 15%, 16%, and 21%....

****** The Turner Gear Reduction is only a 15.5% reduction ******

Had a few guys at work look at it and figure it up for me. I hear alot of people saying its 21%. I just wanted to throw this out there so nobody got mislead.

I'm curious too cause I had my heart set on doing this too later on after enjoying the Bi/Tris for a while, and maybe getting another sport to ride at the sand pits. I'm also a little puzzled about what was said earlier in the thread about grinding a little off the bottom of the speed sensor to make it closer to the gear. If you ground off the bottom of the sensor and didn't damage the magnet in it, it would be farther away from the gear not closer. Did you mean grind away some of the mounting surface? thats the only way I can think of to make the sensor closer to the gear.

Is it plastic to trim off or is it metal that you have to grind off of it????

Just want it to be clear to all of you that it is a 15.5 % reduction. Dont let anybody lie to you or mislead you when buying it. It is only a 1% difference is that one and the one I have. I hear alot of rumers of it being 21%, which is not true.

im a little slow at answering you guys i dont get up here everyday but of course you grind the mounting part of the speed sensor why would you grind on the end dont make sence to ask and it is plastic with a brass sleve for the bolt that hold it on. we are not saying do it try te reduction out with stock speed sen. and if it dont work for you like we exp. then try shaving the "mounting part of the sensor"

I really think the 32 would hit the framing under the floorboard. Might work if you took that off. I get my motor back tomorrow. 425 cc. should pull like a tank !

yeah the 32s would prob. be a little big without a custom lift. I wonder what it would be like with a 29.5 and around a 30% reduction??

Well guys the turner one didnt fit in my bike. I used a dremel and everything. Still hits. How did you get yours on red420 ? I have my motor on a table thats how i know its hitting. Yours might have been hitting and you just couldnt hear it for your bike running. It might wear itself down but then your motor will be full of shavings.

we had it out on th table to and for the sensor on yours must be a little diff then the es cause eveything fell in to place and the sensor was a little far from the gear but we didnt thnik was far enough but with everything back together the speedo wasnt working and then it wouldnt shift. cut the bike off and it would reset for a short time and then do it again and again. so we knew it had to be that the sensor was to far away and we grinded and put back and has been working for about 3 weeks now.

I dont even have a sensor. Mine just keeps hitting the cases slightly. Did you have to grind the cases?

Wayne, don't worry about it man.  I will take care of it because that is some B/S that it won't fit.  I am just glad that we didn't spend two hours breaking down my bike when the crap doesn't even fit.  I will deff get my money back and me and you will come up with another plan.  I kinda knew something was fishey!?!  Atleast we found out the easiest way.  Let me know what you come up with..  will call you in the morning.

hey man it got late and i went to bed but the paper that came with ours said for the 500 you have to shave the casing to make it fit and for some ranchers you might have to do the same. we also called turner on that cause we didnt want to go to far and he said to grind until it fit but the ours fit great had plenty room.

Finally got it to go in and spin freely today. Just took a good bit of the good ole dremel. I called Daniel last week about it and he told me that it just slips on, no grinding ?
