that's not what cannon is asking.  you could either tune with the wide band made by powercommander or the good old fashioned plug chop.  neither the pciii or the hmf optimizer tune the bike, they just make it possible.

its great info and a sticky would be great.........but when are you going to give us an EFI section and let us post maps

That's already been covered.  This forum doesn't have the capability to post maps.  Most maps require a certain format to publish, none of which are possible here.  The best we could do is make a sticky thread with screenshots.  And even then, you are fighting an uphill battle with all the different quads, setups, and locations(altitude).  It's really not much different than trying to tell someone what jet to run in a carb.

A wideband is a sensor that is able to read your air/fuel ratio. A plug chop is the process of pulling your sparkplugs out and reading them for signs of lean or rich conditions by their color

Most mobile widebands screw into your exhaust like an O2 sensor on a car. Dynos are able to stick a wand into the exhaust pipe and suck the gasses out past a wideband sensor.

check out www.widebandcommander.com

Hi all, first post here. I was wondering if anyone has advise on setup for the opti tuning? I have an 07 420(yellow), HMF, Opti tuner, 28" ****'s on ITP 12" ss 108s. (solid Black) rear rack, cup holders! and I'm going to snorkel it this week, home made! Runs very good, but Sunday, when dredging a deep hole, my exhaust was under water and my bike lost all power and started to die. I hopped off and when it floated up the pipe poped out and it regained perfedt running. I get back on and same deal. Get off pipe out of water and runs fine. I was wondering if anyone had a familiar experiance? ran fine when pipe was not under water. And no, I didn't get any water in my intake. I checked that already. It wasn't quite that deep. plus I was on a water wheelie.  Any help?

MaD Basic Fuel Injection Tuning Guide Without a Wideband , i'm bumping this back up and dug this link out of the can-am section.  in case you don't know who john cannon is he is one of the most schooled people in tuning bikes.  all you guys that are asking about setting your bikes up right with a pciii this will get you headed in the right direction.  this cat knows what he's talking about so check it out............enjoy.
