i have a rilla right now when i get it in a bind it sounds like it is stripped or gears broken

the other night i took it apart everything looks good what could it be????????

I have now broke 3 Grilla winches in 4 monthes. The bad thing is, I have only used one of them. The other 2 wouldnt work after being on the bike for a couple of rides. I guess riding in alot of water got to them. I'm going to try to get my money back this time.

man that sucks. my bud is the same thing. he used his gori!!@ one time(or should i say it worked one time) and has never submerged it shoot he barely even mudded with it, and yet it still didnt work. the solenoid went out after one use (pulled another bike that the motor blew on up a levee) and has never worked since. waiting on parts now for the third time. hes upset but i told him go with the viper but he didnt listen.

I have the Ape 3000# waterproof and it pulls great. Pulled a Cat H1, a Griz then a Brute out of a bad hole on a ride a few weeks ago - first real test. Actually, the Ape was dragging my locked down Foreman with two people on it. It never stalled. Everyone there was impressed to say the least.

the viper comes thru again. used it to test it somemore and it went flawlessly thru 6 dry peanut butter holes and pulled out a bud 2 times. really did good. his 60 dollar walmart winch actually works better then the gori11@. all he did to it was put a wireless kit from ****, to replace his worn out switch, and its been going hard for 2 1/2 years now.

i need a wireless kit. bot fun to hold a button on the cars and feed/pull with the other hand 30-40 feet of line. but at least it works.

ive been using the freespool and noticed it got hard to turn after a few horrible fry holes. so i got home cleaned the bike and lubed the knob with a lil wd40 worked it couple times loosened and its working like a champ again.

I went riding this past Saturday to the beach (finally some time for myself yay). And went to play on a water hole that formed during high tide. Water was approx. 14-17" deep and I even had to help a couple of guys to take their quads off the water hole. Anyways after like one or two houra of water riding I went home and the next day I took off the winch to see if it was ok. The gears were bone dry and all I did was put some more grease in and seal it up again. Also the contactor box still works like a champ and all I did to it was put diaelectric grease to all the connections. I am more than satisfied with my winch and I did recommended to everyone that asked me about it. Now all I need is to buy synthetic rope and I'll be in winch heaven.

synthetic is an awesome idea. my bud went riding with me, my 2 yr old and his 2 yr old. well his son got right next to the wire as he was winching scaring him that if it breaks he would get hurt. so he wants synthetic cause of the safety of no memory if it should break. everytime someone admires how reliable my winch i just get happy.

lol. be back with more reviews as i test it out.

Just got a winch from Moto for my Rhino. I will do a torture test on it next weekend (just regular riding for us) and let you guys know how it holds up.

i would opt for the 4500 (just for extra power) but the 4000 sounds good to me also. a snatch block would be a great addition as well. helps by not bogging your winch down nearly as much and doubles the pulling strength of the cable also. (less likely to break the cable/rope)

i want a snatch block just to have it. pair a snatch block up with a strap, to wrap around a tree etc., will also help.
