hey Black bear, i am not sure if we have met before.....(riding or at other funtions)  but i just want to say THANKS!  i know how difficult it is to put on events like this and we really appreciate all the hard work yall are doing!

we will be there with bells on!......okay may not bells but you catch my drift!

No problem....we're just trying to give folks in our area a new place to ride that's different from anything else around here.  It hasn't been easy (especially since we don't own the property and have to work with the owner to get both administrative and site build stuff done....and I tend to be a bit of a control freak) but we're confident we'll deliver a fun place to spend the weekend.  It was hard enough to get the owner to agree to even give this a shot, so hopefully we can deliver a big crowd that will keep him interested in hosting future MISSION: MUD events.

We certainly greatly appreciate the interest and involvement of the highlifter community and look forward to meeting all of you in person.  One of the biggest benefits of all the hard work will be to have the opportunity to extend our circle of friends

man....you will meet amazing people on this site that is for sure!

i have gotten emails from Plant bamboo for years so it will be interesting to see what this place looks like.  usually i just have the sales stuff.  Now i do have an important question.  i am not knocking Mudfest and some other places down there for this but I hope you all are gearing this towards a FAMILY type event.

Meaning am i gonna be p*ssed when i bring my son to race cause he is on our team (15) and all i hear is "show me your ****!

to some of the girls.

We dont bring him to Mudfest for that reason even though now in his life he would LOVE that.....so i am just checking if it is kid friendly.  cause i can find a sitter

Although I would love to, realistically I can't guarantee their won't be any vulgar comments made during the event.  We have focused on making the event about riding and competition and not just a big party.  I can guarantee that my crew and I will definitely correct anything inappropriate we see while managing the event.  We want everyone to have a good time, but again, its about ATVS and Riding.

Yes, its definitely on for Aug. 7th-10th.  When I said I would postpone it if Mudfest was back on, I assumed the Mudfest admission would be the same as their last event.  Based on their outrageous pricing, I came back on here and asked folks for their thoughts/opinions about what to do.  Everyone basically said they weren't willing to pay that much and that we should continue with our initial plan for the event.

Our goal is to have everyone riding together and have a great time, so this is going to happen at MISSION: MUD

as for the partying im hopeing everyone comes to have a good time. at the same time be mindfull of the people around you.when we first came up with this idea it was all about family getting together and haveing fun and seeing other familys and friends haveing fun as well.we all have kids and want them to have a great time and a safe weekend at the same time. thats one of the reasons were seperating the trucks from the atvs when  mudding.

Hey, its on our website, but if anyone knows Vendors who would be interested in a spot on Vendor row, please have them contact us.  Just trying to make sure we have enough food and refreshment options on site.  Any other ATV related vendors are also welcome of course.  I would guess that whoever was planning on vending at Mudfest may want to reconsider for 2 reasons:

1) There aren't going to be nearly as many people there as in the past.
2) The people that do attend are less likely to want to spend any additional money at the event since they already paid so much to get in.

Thanks again for your continued support

I'll be at Mudfest. I know it's $100, but there ain't nothin like Mudfest. I'm sure Bamboo will be a blast, but I look foreward to the Fest all summer. Just gonna have to work a little overtime beforehand. Lame, but sooooo worth it.

if your looking to test your bike against other bikes in a real mud pit built just for quads then you might wanna change your mind were gearing this for quads.theres going to be plenty of mud holes as allways but in addition theres going to be a quad cross and mud bog races.

No he didn't pump any out....the water table is so low that even with all the rain, the ground just sucks it all up (its going to be the same story anywhere else in that area).  Don't worry, he aleady knows that we'll need to start pumping water into the riding areas if we don't get enough rain by the beginning of the week of the event

I have seen more water there as well, but its not exactly dried up either

I don't really need to test my bike against other bikes. It does just fine in any hole. I'm sure Banboo will be a good time, but dude... IT'S MUD FEST! Sucks these events are the same weekend. I'd go to both.

They'd be lucky to get 500 people there at those prices....it wouldn't suprise me if they end up canceling it again as BrokeForce52 stated above, I don't see them making a profit with as much as they're going to pay for the insurance and the number of people they are going to get....just my opinion

wish it wasnt so much to get in i was going to take my sons there with me and ride and enjoy the outdoors. but at 100 bucks i could take jug fishing and go eat at chuckey cheese afterwards with some to spare.

good idea though. wish more of my christian friends were into mudding as my family is. good luck hope there is a great turnout and that they can profit from this. moreso for the families to grow closer and build lifelong memories.

Not sure where i will be, Sounds like bamboo is geared more for racing. I'm more into riding around in mud drinking soda pops. I see bamboo has riding areas, but if they are dry, are they going to pump water in the riding area, or just in the pits were the races are. I wish they were not on the same weekend, i would like to go to both.
