Man if I was riding thru the desert and so that, I wouldve crapped me shorts.  If I lived somewhere like that and those were around the house, the snakes, bank, neighbors and anyone else who wanted it could have dat house.

I kill every snake I see.  Run it over with the mower, shoot it, light it on fire...  Whatever fatal weapon is closest.  I am a firm believer that the only good snake is a dead one,

Most of you have probably already seen this one before, but just thought I would throw it out there again.  This is the one I caught going into my house... well minus it's head and about 3" of body

Wow. Even though I live in Florida, the only snakes I've seen are black racers and 1 coral snake. Thankfully there aren't many rattlers around this area. I hate snakes with a passion.

I don't know where you live in FL, but most of the southern swamp areas are covered in cottonmouths

When I was a kid, my mom ran over a rattlesnake right by the house I now live in. It stretched completely across the road. The road is wide enough for two cars to pass comfortably. The head was in the grass on one side and the rattlers were on the other side of the road. That thing was like hitting a speed bump.

If I'm not mistaken, the eastern diamonback is the largest poisonous snake in the northern hemisphere

time to pull out the old 12 guage. God I hate snakes. The only good snake is a dead snake. But still even then they still creep me out. My friend was riding on our property the other day and he said he saw about a 6 foot snake crawling across the field. But when I went back there it was gone. And we have about 3 snake skins that about 4 feet long. That have just been laying around.

we found a big old sob on our huntin last year. he was in the middle of the road. shot him at three yards with a 7mm 08 (scoped). trust me, a 180 yard shot is alot esier. took him back, skinned him, cleaned him, cooked him, and ate him.

I have seen lots of cotton mouths and stuff riding in LA and East Texas. It sucks to start into a big hole easy trying to check the depth and you see snakes start coming out of the other side. You just have to put your feet up and hope all of them were annoyed enough by the sound of your quad to leave the hole and not stick around.
I picked up a small one in a hole once and when I came out the other side everyone was backing away with big eyes. I was like what?? Then they yelled snake and I started looking and one was crawling out from under my front rack onto the ground. It was probably 15-18 inches long. I dont carry a gun when mud riding so I had to beat it with a stick.
They are pretty bad in the Shreveport, Texarkana area so when I go fishing I always pack a little something for the snakes. Just in case
