You'll have to hook them to your battery and use a different switch. I bought the same ones and the switch that comes with them are for display purpose. You have to hold the switch down to make them work. I've just made a vid of mine that i'm gonna load onto youtube, which i'll post as soon as im done.

Not saying they don't come in different colors but the autozone here only had these.

Made a bracket behind the grill, then ran the wires into the storage box under my seat. I bought a water tight container from wal-mart and sealed it in there. The container has a rubber gasket on the lid which makes it completely water tight, trust me.

I didn't take any pics before I put it back together, sorry. All I did was take a straight piece of metal and molded it to the shape behind my grill. The strobes attached with 3M tape which I didn't really care for. I jammed them through the honeycomb grill as far as I could, with the metal bracket holding pressure on them.

Bigpoppa- They are the cheap $24.99 Autozone strobes. The only other thing I had to buy for them was a toggle switch.

450Grizchase - Awsome set up. The TIR3's look great! Just curiouse why you didnt get the SLED04's which are a split lensed TIR4.
Elkbow, Thank you for the referals.

We do alot of Sheriff and Rescue ATVs. None have strobes in them. Main reason is power consumption, cost and install hassles.
We are seeing more and more of the flush mount style, self contained LED heads being used on small low vehicles.
The benifite of the LEDs are low heat, extreamly low power use and they last for 10,000 hours.
The strobe bulbs are fragile glass and can break easily meaning that you now have to un-install that bulb and buy a new $25.00 replacement.
Here is a page of our lightheads. These can be flush mounted or placed on a L bracket. I would suggest any one of them. I really like the Axixtech SLED04 and the Mini Xteme witch have a wider light wash. http://www.nwpublicsafetysupply.com/Grill-Lights_c_40-1.html

Now im only hear hoping to help. You donot need to buy from me. Im the Master Distributor so i win in the end anyway. lol.
I can tell you that i absolutly, positivly wont sell a light that i wouldnt use in a public safety vehicle myself. I use all Whacker and Axixtech products, becouse in my own opinion they are brighter, effective and effitant for their price and are followed up with supurb warranty. If you guys are wanting to buy anything, just type in "irock" in the promo code box at checkout. Ride safe, Matt. firefighter71_28@yahoo.com

I have a set of Whelen TIR3 strobes I want to install. I was trying to find out which wire is what. No longer have the instructions. RED is hot, Black is ground. There is a gray wire and a white one with a purple stripe on it. Who can tell me which is the sync wire and which is the momentary wire to switch the flash pattern?

The gray wire is the sync wire and the white wire with the purple stripe is to change the flash pattern.
