Buzsaw, its a bridgeport.  The only import tool I have is the indexer for the mill.  I bought the mill at auction for $450.  I also got a Clausing lathe 15''x60'' with 3 and 4 jaw chucks, live center, taper attachment for $3000.

Funny thing was the Mill was set up for CNC, BUT its was still running the old style "ticker tape" programs if that tell what type of age the mill is.  The lathe is an '89 model.  So I am up and running after spending about that same amount in tooling for both machines.

I also determined, at the present time, I dont require any CNC equipment.  I dont plan on mass producing anything.  Perhaps one day I may upgrade but for now I am just a hobby machinist.  Setup is the fun part for me.
It really helps with my other hobby, which is the model railroading.

That is such a sweet deal, wish I could find a deal that good to upgrade my tooling.  Just two small import mills and one small import lathe and one old but goood Craftsman lathe.

As long as they work for you and not against you, it's all good!!
The tooling I had before, I spent more time trying to talking it into working for me LOL.
Heck with that!

take care....
