I hope these are better quality than Kazuma.  While out riding last weekend we ran into a guy that had bought the kazuma knock off of the ranger.  While looking at it, it looked exactly like the polaris.  The funny part, was that the guy was talking so much trash about how he saved so much more money than my buddy (who was there on his ranger)... well the trash talking stopped when we came across the first water hole.  Water not even up to the head lights left him dead in the water... good guys as we are, we pulled him out and back to his truck... I never asked him how that crow tasted, but from what I could see, it was pretty good.

That is do to the guy not making it water ready.  Not the bike the off brand may take a little work by the new owner to get them ready.  I've been on this forum for a few year an common sense has been lost it seem form some of the post you see.

I've never had to do anything to a machine to make it handle water just at the tops of the tires before

I took my 700 out this past weekend to my deer lease. It did well, had a minor issue with the seat (which I fixed already) the dang people at the dealer who put it together didnt plug in the battery charge plug so on the second day the battery died on me. We pulled the battery , went and had it charged and were off again. I checked it out when I got home and once the plug was plugged in correctly , the battery was being charged !

The only other issue I has was getting it into Low gear acouple of times. It could have been more me than they machine. Once I got back home I checked the linkage and so on , gave it a test run and all worked well so not really sure what I was doing wroung down in the middle of the woods going through those mud holes. The buggy never even acted like it was getting stuck, went everywhere I needed to go and some places I found out that I really didnt need to go. SO far its doing well.

How many miles you guys got on these things?  I'm in the market for a Rhino but this seems to be pretty appealing.  My ? is how would this thing hold up on how WE ride.  I'm talking nothing but headlight deep nastiness at the least.  The $3000 less than the 660 I'm looking at is sounding good.  But I don't wanna throw some cash into this thing only to have it crap out on me.  What's the REAL world test on this thing.  Is it gonna hold up?  Does a compression check test true after a few thousand miles?   How's the electrical hold up?  Axles?  Belt drive?

I think yall should take 1 Rhino and 1 700 of the "Knockoff" and do different test with them, Drag racing, Sled Pull, even hook them up and see who drags who.  Just an Idea

I have a friend that owns one and he loves it! We call it the "chino". He's got a gorrilla lift on it, and I think 28" s!lverbacks. It looks sweet! He bought it around Nats and snorkled it out there and I think the only real problem he had at that time was overheating. He's done a few things to it now and as far as I know it runs like a champ

those guys were snorkeling it and putting an exhaust on it and wheels and tires at Nats. They were just down the hill from us and it looked just like a rhino. One of the guys working on it was amazed at how much the parts and everything were just like a rhino!!!

Yep, right down by the showers. I'm tellin ya, these things are pretty cool, esp. for the price!

thats the one i got fliped on top of me.

Just seems strange all the new faces on here with good reports on these knock offs. Sure seems like someone trying to sell them.I can appreciate the older names on heres opinion, but under 10 post and they are all praising these things seems funny.

I understand you question, I cant speak for everyone but I know that I have been looking to buy a side by side for about 6 months now. I read forms and I found this one. I joined it to ask questions about the knock off and I was impessed not only with the info on here but also one of the dealers that was listed on here. I didnt buy my unit from that dealer because they are too far away from me. I post info about my unit to share with others. If someone finds that helpful thats good , I will be honest in my post , if something goes wrong , then I will report that as well. I am not trying to sell anything , I am a nomral guy who bought a unit. I am not a mud guy but rather I use my unit on my deer lease here in Texas, there is plenty of mud on my lease and a lot or thick brush to bust through.

I don't know if it is faster.  My rhino has a top speed of 57 on flat ground.  I have never ridden a knockoff, but I have stopped by the dealership that sells them locally and looked them over a couple times.  As I have said before, the build quality on these machines are SUB PAR.  I personally, would not spend my hard earned money on one.  To each his own, but why get on here and state that these machines are the same as a rhino, when they clearly are not.

I sure don't own 4 of them either.....sounds just like the dealers that have started pushing these things on here????

Let's call it like it is.  They are NOT the same thing... they were NOT made in the same factory and bla bla bla... if they were, then why wouldn't they just brand them a yamaha and sell them for more money.  They ARE a knock off, plain and simple.  Now having said that, for those of you who really purchased them to ride and not to sell as a dealer, I wish the best of luck to you.  We're all in this sport to ride and have a good time, so I don't wish badluck on anyone.  I just don't like all the misinformation that appears on this topic.

My take on this.

I have seen in the past a similar situation with what appears to be a "rebranded" Yamaha Big Bear, and a Yamaha Grizzly. They were mostly cosmetic differences and the build quality only seemed to differ in the cosmetics, they even SOUNDED the same. Now for 1 why is it we only see "yamaha" knockoffs? And if they were why wouldnt yamaha sue the pants off them? Well because I think its just that they sell the guts to these third party makers, they put their own styling etc and viola, you have two companies making money.

Don't think for a second Yamaha is not involved, you would see patent infrigement suits left and right, heck Jeep tried to sue hummer because it had a 7 slot grill...

The idea that somebody else is going to even engineer the  engine molds "to copy" would be even more costly then to just make their own.

They probably save a ton by mass buying all the chassies, and save a bunch more on cheaper controls, plastics, rubber, tires, etc.

There are tons of items rebranded in the world at cheaper prices. Oil, Food, etc. You think the supermarkets make their own food :)

Your right ,some people just don`t understand econommics! Like i said get used to it.Same technolgy much cheaper labour. And as sub par quality please be more specific. What precisely is not as good in build quality? Also let`s compare stock rhino`s to stock chino`s to compare performance.People used to say the same thing about the first japanese cars,do you hear that about a lexus now? And no i am not a dealer, i just think out side the box sometimes if ya open your eyes it`s amazing what ya can see!

Well, Silverkaw, I did not major in economics....I only have a masters in business management.  Since you are so well educated on foreign economics and chinese reverse engineering, I am not going to post anymore on this subject.  I, frankly, do not care to argue anymore.  I only wanted to let everyone know that these are indeed, not the same thing.  Since we have established that point, I feel that we are now beating a dead horse.  People will make their own minds and learn from others mistakes as we all do.  Good luck with your 4 chinos.

Ok so now I have a real question about the knock offs, does anyone have any idea if the doors from a Rhino could be put on one of the knock offs ? I have a Chino and would like to get doors but I dont know if anyone has looked to even see if they will work.

I did give permission in an earlier post for # of a dealer to be given out but there is a limit before it becomes advertising. Not saying anyone has reached that limit but just a reminder.Umm,did that make any since. Some of these post do look like sorta like an add.Not saying they are but if you are a dealer then you are not allowed to make a post about this product due to advertising rules governing the H/L Forum.

Lets keep this in mind since it could lead to problems of keeping your posting rights.

Other than that I can see the cost vs Rhino. Some will take that route and some will not.Look forward to riding with one in the future.

On a side note without being drug into this mess, I did see one this weekend at Creekbottom.  The rep was there and he had a boot set up right next to mine, so I was talk to him about them.  I was impressed on how similar they are.  I am not saying they are the same, but very similar.  The doors from a Rhino will bolt right on.  Heck the key in the ignition even had a yamaha key.  I was even told the 4-7" lift from a Rhino will bolt right onto this machine.  To me they look very similar, who knows, time will tell.  Just thought I would share a little info.

I rode one of the SUNL side by side today and was impressed. A friend of mine owns A&R POWERSPORTS in Henderson. He took a CDI from a 700 four wheeler and put it on here and it ran 53 miles and hour with three prople in it. That is straight out of the box. It had 10 miles on it. I was not so sure about it until he changed the cdi. The factory cuts out real bad at around 5000rpm's. I am gonna buy one from him this week. I looked at rhino's on saturday and not only are they $4000 more they are also very expensive to soop up. The SUNL is carb. so it will be really easy to trick it out.

I just dont see why people care what other people buy...If someone does not want to pay $10,000 for something WHO CARES...its just a forum. If you got the Rhino good for you. IF you got something else good for you...why call the thread Rhino Knockoff if it is not a Rhino Knockoff. People can say it is reverse engineering and all that Jazz...but they are all shipped here in a crate and they are put together here so if you ride is falling apart see your local dealer. How about we try something new, Lets talk about things that matter and not put people down and lets be positive. I know gas prices are bad but man we have to stick together.

Mud lover :-)
