you killing me boy  but I'm not worried since b-slu is helping / doing the clutch.  I couldn't do what I NEEDED to do cause we had some ava---can't brake problems. But just so b-slu is helping / doing the clutch we can overcome.   The shaft is prepped and the "crooked like a roach leg" tie rod is sorta straight.

i know, i feel bad taken so much of your time. appreciate the help though. i'm trying to learn how to do it all so i won't have to be a bother.
slu is working late i think. i'm gonna get there early (i hope) and get the clutch all cleaned up. i'll get all the old grease off and clean with brake cleaner that way when slu gets off we can grease it back up stick it back together. scott might even be able to help me.

Don't count me in, I'll be back late myself....coming back from san antonio with the mustang.  If you didn't understand the ava cant break problem...the avalanche had no brake pads left and was about to wear completely thru the back of the rotors...  So a quick trip to autozone for 2 rotors, set of pads and the GREAT OZ's help, got it done with total satisfaction!!

How we gonna do this sat, is oz gonna leave early or stay all day?

man, that's tough.....must suck out there....!!!

I got my grizz workin again.  That eagle 1 stuff is awesome, looks like a new radiator....  I resnorkeled the airbox too.  Used 2x  1 1/2" pvc spa hoses...the heavy white ones.  I ran each one on the left side coming out of the airbox itself, not the lid like before.  And they don't even come close to exhaust so they wont get hot.

Guess I need to bite the bullet and do my snorkels some day soon.  I know I am not riding for the next two weekends so I don't really need em right away.  That cane needs to start growing faster so we can ride the fields and not get caught...or at least not look so obvious.

How much will he charge to bore it our 2mm over, going with a 686 bbk??  Hormell's got the kit on order...comming in on fri or mon.  They said they have a guy in Eunice that will do it for $70...I'd like to get it cheaper if I can.  I'd also like to get the head ported/polished too while I'm in there.  When I get it back together, putting a mudbuster cam in it too....OH YEA...should be better!!  Also, hormell's said they'd help me out figure out the jet sizes and mixture screw settings for optimal....  Feel like helpin me out with some engine work when I get in?  I'll supply the beer...!!

Well, it was looking like friday, but something came up and we have to rerun 4 primary anchors...might be sat/sun.  The disassembly doesn't look too hard, I looked at the service manual.  The only thing I'll have to do is cut the 2 center 90 elbow pvc snorkels...I glued them in place like a dumb@ss.  The front fender has to come off, and so does the gas tank and the carb obiously.  Then remove the header and exhaust, then valve cover, head and then the jug comes out.

with that setup sceia there better not be a mud hole/obstacle you won't try.

grizz, i got to the valves. pull start is off and ready to go also. you have to get to timing plug from there. the intake valves are gonna be easy to get to. the snorkels are gonna make it difficult to get to the exhaust valves.  I don't know if its a "run home at lunch" type of deal. When do you want to get it done? I wanna get this thing back together.
It looks like i need to use the Raymond Rawls snorkel technique. What did he use, a 2" pvc cut in 1/2?

yeah 2" PVC cut in half and cutting out about 1/4" of pvc material from one of the halves. You have to give it room to crush(apply pressure to hose) . valves well tomm. night might be a good night unless you have a tball game. or ??? sceeler might just need a can am 800 to get those 29.5" over 60 mph. It also looks like he needs a two seater.(no bike for leela)

Eh, it's got the power....but it won't fit on the 50" or narrower trails.  This is my last mod on the 660, if I don't get what I want out of this one, she's gone...gonna get an arctic cat 1000 or razor 800 instead....

What all you doin to the green devil?  Seems like you've had it appart for some time now...

everything seems fine. breaks were out of spec in that they didnt work at all. got front ones fixed, need to get new cable for rear. it all just needed a good cleaning. took carb off to clean, will reinstall with tank off to snorkel vent lines nicely.

lfava.....clean bike....vent lines carefully run...this is uncharacteristic of the lfava i know
now you just need to find your spark arrestor.  those three little screws that hold it in place are probably scattered b/n the cul de sac and pont de mouton!
