no.... if you are running only one relay to power both sides, you do not need the harness you removed on the one side out of the main bulb you will need the harness on one side you pick, there are 3 connections on that harness, the middle wire is the low beam, will not be used.....the two outside wires are the high beam and the ground.... so, take the high beam wire on the harness and run it to the trigger connection on the relay take the ground wire on the harness and make a connector that connects to it and has 3 connections on the other end, make your own little harness, one wire goes to the relay ground, one to each black wire on each ballast connector on each side.... then you need a wire, fused, from the battery, it goes to the power input on the relay, pin 30 then the power output from the relay goes to each postive (red) connector on the ballast
