I have a kawasaki prairie 700 2004 ... I would love to be able to install a set of HIDs.... I looked at the various auctions on ebay (Seller "supervtech").  The price seems good, yet shipping is nearly double the cost.  Not to mention as I am in Canada the cost of shipping is nearly $100.  That aside... I was looking at bulb types... and I have no clue what bulb type i ought to choose.  Any ideas?

Also, is it a plug and play system or will I have to modify my exisiting light housing to accomodate the new HIDs. (if i do this, i can never go back to halogens without buying a new light box)  From what I have read in the early threads, all I see are people with BFs who have tried this.  I am not much of a mechanic, so I am also wondering how easy it is to install.  Do i need to add another fuse to it or simply hook the system up to the exiting wiring for the current halogen bulbs and find a place to mount the 2 ballasts.

Thanks!
Mike

Which bulbs did you use?  Does anyone have pictures of how they installed H11 bulbs?

I have a prairie 700 also and did the hid conversion with the h3 bulbs.  Trust me you will not need a high and a low.  When you turn them on they put out more light than your high and low beams combined.  Also it is not a plug and play thing.  You have to do the same things the guys with the brutes are doing.

Thanks for the info... I am far from being a mechanic... I have a local guy who owns a repair shop for ATVs and is very good.  He said he could install it for me.  I hope he knows what he is doing :-)

ok fellas im really not understanding how to mount the hid light in the bf light housing. The h3 bulb that i ordered is way to small and i can stick it all the way into the light housing without it touching anything. Did they send the wrong bulb maybe or whats the deal. Any pics from the backside of the light would be great!!!!!!!!!

not the light housing, the bulb housing.the bulb that you pull out,the black base that the bulb is attatched to.go back and read the first page of this thread.you break the bulb off and  drill out the black base so that the pigtails from the hid bulb will go thru there.need to read this thread.im positive all of these questions have been asked and answered.

Im going to Durham Plantation this weekend ill try to get pic's and post by monday great mod for about $90.
