For those of you making a homemade audiopipe, check out the Pyramid 240 watt amp on ebay. I bought 2 and 2 sets of Bazooka 6.5's
for my 2 pipes. They sound very clean and put out enough power to listen while you ride. The best part about this amp is that it's only 4.75" wide and fits well in the
pipe. Check out the link for more info... (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160230142344)

You guys that run two (or even three batterys) are you hooking them up to the charging system, or do you just trickle charge em when you're not ridin? Then drain em when you ride? If so wondering how long that's lasting for ya? I was thining about getting a deep cell optima and puttin it in my rear trunk to power the sound system.

I run mine in parallel, so the charging system does charge them. However, I do keep a trickle charger on them when I'm not riding. It seems to be holding up fine.

No, I'm running the stock battery along with two electric wheelchair batteries that are much larger than a stock ATV battery. Make sure that you hook your batteries up in parallel, not in series. By doing this you are basically increasing the size of your battery but you're not increasing the voltage. Run positive to positive and negative to negative. Otherwise you will have 24 volts with two batteries or 36 volts with 3 batteries and you will fry your electrical system.

Here is my box!! It's almost done!! Thanks again Andy!!
It's going to match my bumpers.. Metallic Silver fiberglass
It will have 2-8" and 6-6.5" Speakers.. 4-200 watt amps!!!

Thumbnail Image

i am not being a jerk but thats 800 watts the amp draw on that is going to upwards of 60 amps how are you going to keep your battery alive? i just saying that cause i have been in mobile audio for many years and there are many autos with muh larger and better charging systems tha would have trouble keeping up with a "TRUE" 800 watts even peak not rms, most of the inexpensive brands of audio equipment are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over rated for example a 200 watt jenson amp may only put out 12 true watts .... if it says 500 watt output and omes with a 20 amp fuse... well you do the math the flip side of that is high quality audio is often underrated or rated at some realy high ohm load but stable down to .5 ohms the old bulletproff autotek amps are monsters and rated @ 44wats rms @ 16 ohms run it down to .5 ohms and they are putting out an easy 400 of real power... reason its always nie ot run a 400 watt amp in the 100 watt and under class at IASCA comps

Always looking to upgrade I just finished this over the weekend. It sounds awesome. Loads of bass and clear as a bell. 600 watt amp, 2 Kicker 6x9s, it's own power supply, and a lift out tray for my 10/22, in a custom powder coated aluminum storage box.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?  I'm really familiar with audio stuff...

On my 2007 Brute 750, I want to mount 2 6x9's or something of that nature, in the plastic pieces on the front fenderes.  I want to be able to control it from an mp3 player/ipod & I want to be able to control the volume with a knob. Not sure if I need an amp or not.  Can someone help me out!!!!!  Thanks in advance!

Brenton

I guess you are talking about Rebel64? When you relocate your radiator it keeps it from getting full of mud and junk when you ride whcih lets the bike run cooler.

Ok, if I were to build a box with self contained batteries, let's say 2 wheelchair batteries since they have been mentioned, how long would they power a cd reciever and 2 6x9's?? Would they last through the day and just put a trickle charger on them at nite or a day or so before I plan on riding???

hey if i run a pyramid 240 amp off of a cig plug will that be sufficient? i am going to go with either 2 6x9s or 2- 6.5s. i think it would be enough.
