I think both are great ideas and I would probably do one of them if I had a Can-am. I have something to add if you guys dont mind. I have P.T. posts on my front porch that hold up the roof over the porch. They are wrapped with a siding type of material that is made out of metal and painted white. The house is about 5 years old and the metal material is beginning to show signs of corrosion in some places. I asked a friend of mine who builds houses about this and he said you are supposed to paint the posts with KILZ before you put the siding on or else the chemicals in the wood will corrode the siding. If you paint the wood you use for the frame mod with KILZ and coat it with grease I think that would solve any problem you may have with corrosion. Just a little advice if anyone wants to take it.
