This is how i did the reverse override on my 08 650 H1, think i spent about 5 mins doing it

coming out of of the CDI box is a RED wire with a GREEN Stripe on it, I took a scotch lock and hooked to it and added another wire to run to a ground source very simple all is needed is to ground that curcit out and no more reverse override button..

More then likely not with the 700 having efi and all think it would be totally different...

So could you just splice a wire into the red and ground it? I mean thats all a scotch lock does right.

yeap hook a wire to the red wire with green stripe and ground it. crazy simple huh

work nice not to have to push a button...

They are different. I did the mod on my 07 700. Works great. I will take a pic and post it up later.

As far as i no it will work for all the 650 H1s i no some older h1s have done this of of other sites..

sweet i will do that next time i have 5 min.

PROWLER 650 H-1, since i'm on the subject, i accidently plugged my override switch in backwords one time, and guess what, no reverse rev limit.

Mr. potata head, did you leave the Prowler like that, did it cause any other problems and do you know if this is how to fix the Prowler 70 xtx as well?

its still that way, and no problems at all. the only thing is the bitton works backwards, when you hold it down it bangs out, and let off it slings the mud.

as far as i know the switch is the same on the 700 so i would think it would work. just dont plug the winch in backword, it will just take off running.

bump - the wiring on the 06 is different then the 07. Is it still the red/green wire on the 06? Its just in a different place on the plug. The CDI on the 06 and 07 have different part numbers as well
