Just had my day off canceled for tomorrow.
Due to the "state of emergency" declared by our governer for a tropical storm 1800 miles away. The PD has cancelled all approoved requests for time off and scheduled vacations until further notice. STUPID!!!!!!!
Good chance this thing goes way west and misses us all and everybody feels like they gotta react just for the sake of reacting. Anyway, I will have have to pay someone who is already off on friday to work for me.. and it aint cheap... plus stay in constant phone contact with the PD in the event of a "catastrphic" event..
WOW. I'll be back to work on my regular days by time this thing hits tuesday.. IS it a friggin hurricane or meteor???.. I hate politics

All I can say is wow!!!! What a weekend. The park, the people, the food, the drinks, the music, the dead pigs, Mr. Gary Teague and I-45 are the best host on the planet. And for those that missed the relay racing sunday night wow! Six bikes in a bog pit at one time going opposite directions, doing turns at both ends of the pit, tagging your partner, jumping on and having to start your bike while it is sitting in the water after you get tagged by your partner, it was probably one of the coolest sites ever seen. Everyone laughed so hard that we all will have sore ribs and faces this week. And again the food, thanks Matt for cleaning the pigs and Danny and the I-45 crew for cooking the meals. I just have to say that there is not another sport on the face of the earth that has the quality of people as our sport does. From top to bottom we have a family that would do anything for each other and that fact is proven week in and week out. For those who don't know our sport or think bad of it, it is only because they are either not well informed or are just stereotyping, because they have no IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!! I love all you guys and gals and can't wait to go to the n.o. in a couple of weeks.
Oh, and almost forgot if life gives you milk churn some BUTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barry u are totally right!!  All of you guys and gals are for sure our best friends in the world!!  Now that we know everyone we dont know what we would do w/out any of yall!!  Man we love yall and cant wait till the next time!!  Glad everyone is safe and nothing too terrible happened!!
